Holy shitty licensed games, Batman! There's been some stink bombs featuring everybody's favourite caped crusader over the years that's for sure. Fortunately there's always been decent Batman games too. Nice vid.
Have you played the turbografx-16 Batman game?why they used the Batman license on this game is beyond me.
Your Batman toy collection is sweet!
As far as the games go, man, European developers made some real stinkers didn't they.
Thanks, as far as the European developers I agree. People seem to like Batman the caped crusader but I just couldn't get into it. A Batman game should have the right balance between puzzle solving and action.
To be fair in regards to the European developers the Amiga version of Batman the movie was fantastic.
The sad part is conceptually theres no reason the
batman should fail in future games.....
All you need to do to make the greatest batman
game is just take grand theft auto and instead
of having a bad/good character just insert hero
batman.....
Im sort of out of the loop(cranky kong) with current
games, so is there a GTA like the way the friday the 13th
game let online players take up different roles and play
simultaneosly???
If so theres the pitch for the greatest batman game ever...
I could never play any of the retro batman games for more
than 3 minutes without quiting. Sadly. Now I havent played
all of them but after like 5 diferent batman games it just
seemed like a lost cause to even try any others.
An open world mmorpg style batman could change
the batman stigma right around....
Great info in your video.....
If youre wondering if you should make more, hell yes.
Batman on the Mega Drive and Batman Returns on the Mega CD are the only two Batman games I need. Sunsoft's excellent platformer did the license justice and Sega's Batman Returns for the Mega CD improved the Mega Drive port of the game no end with the truly excellent music and driving segments.
Batman: Return of the Joker (NES) shoule be on the list. It's a Contra / GI Joe game in disguise. It's fun, but it doesn't evoke the idea of being Batman.
tg16 version isn't horrible once you get used to the idea of what it is. it might not be as good as the nes or genesis version but on it's own is pretty good. it feels like a bomberman variant which feels right at home on the tg16 and the music is nicely done.
