The only thing that would get me just as hype, would be a TurboDuo Mini with 16 bit Card games like SF2 and 16 bit CD games like Rondo Iso and the 8 bit looking Bonk games (after all these decades I still don't know if TG16 is truly 8 bit or 16 bit but it has the capacity to hang with Genesis and SNES which is amazing) Lord Of Thunder CD iso and 46 other great games. Would be fitting if NEC did that since it was first to have a console CD add on historically correct? Hell yeah 25 TG16 gems like Splatterhouse and 25 CD gems like Rondo iso/CD with hdmi out, I'll buy 2 of those too !

Anyway I'm just looking foward to Genesis Mini getting hacked 1 minute after its release so I can play gas68 Wolf3D v11 and Pyron & Stef SF2SCE v7 which are diamonds themselves!

I have a TG16 but not many games because of prices. This is the one I really do want if the right games are on there but I need this to be a 2020 thing. I can't do any more this year.

I'm more curious how much mini they can make a PCE? It really is kinda mini size to begin with in real life and the pics above make them look like they might still be about the same size. I'm sure the pics aren't to proper scaling..etc but still the PCE is so tiny they could have just used the original shell molds anyway right?

Ys I & II doesn't have any fmv, but either way game size is irrelevant. Even uncompressed a bunch of CD games is only a handful of GB.

The only excuse for the Genesis mini to not have CD games is if they couldn't nail down decent Sega-CD emulation.

I’ve only seen Ys I on display at a Toys R’ Us. I seem to recall it having an FMV intro (some golden emblem that showed artifacts) followed by cut scenes, like what was done with the Lunar Games.

Well like I said in quote, it is kind of fitting the turboduo mini will have both cards and cd games since it was the first major console to have a cd unit for it. I'm getting Japan one with Y's, Rondo etc and hopefully my 6 button Mini controller (Japan mini) works with this and I can play sf2 tg16 version.

What do you mean? What about releasing the Sega-CD Mini that must be attached to the Genesis mini in order to work?

That's pretty awesome, when I first heard about it last night I had to do a double take because I couldn't believe it. Would love to have the Core Grafx mini pictured, i've always wanted a PC Engine but never really got around to buying one because of the game prices so this is great to me.
