Yu Suzuki looking to return to work on other classic SEGA IPs

Asked if he would like to return to Virtua Fighter and Out Run, Suzuki told VGC: “Yes I would like to [return to those]. If you’re going to ask me what, I can’t answer that!”

Pushed on whether that means he might already be in discussions for the IP, he replied: “Yes, there might be something [happening]. But since the IP you mentioned are owned by Sega, I would need to work with them. I am a special consultant with Sega, but we will need to talk.”

I wish Yu GOD Suzuki would look to make a new racer with SEGA. Nobody makes a better racer than Yu Suzuki NOBODY !!!!

Can you imagine Yu working with AM#2 making sequels to Daytona and Outrun?. I love to see Yu make a sequel to PowerDrift that's a IP in need to of a sequel

I imagine also Scud Race 2, but that and Daytona should be a Nagoshi responsibility, if only he was less Yakuza-centered...

But if Yu can convince Sega to not only give him licenses for VF, Outrurn and others, but also to collaborate and have the manpower from Sega (it means that they would not be simple "licenses", but real Sega games), Yu could also save AM2 in the process (AM2 is really suffering nowadays, they really need Yu guidance).

And if Yu saves AM2, we could see any kind of arcade goodness next: Super Hang On 2, Afterburner Climax 2, Daytona 3, who knows even Sword of Vermilion 2 and new Rent A Hero (let's dream big ).

agree, that's the reason why I don't like Final Showdown in particular.
VF6 need to return to a more pure vision, and from there finally evolve once again the 3D fighting games genre (that is now in a real stagnation phase).
