    Default Sega CD fuse replacement

    Hi Guys,
I need to replace a fuse in an old Sega CD 2 and when I search for the correct fuse on digikey I get a lot of similar products. I don't really see a difference. ANd befor you say well order from this or that site. I have a huge digikey order waiting for different projects.

The correct fuse depends on which region you're from.

For JP/USA, the one you linked is sufficient, maybe a tad too high. I think I installed 2A fuses in my Sega CD Console, and that one is running smoothly.
2.5 A will probably be fine as well I think. If you're in Europe, you're going to need a fuse for 240V and 2/2.5A.

As for the type of fuse, I recall being recommended you want to install a "slow blow" fuse for the Sega CD.

I just install 1.5Amp self resetting Fuses! pointless installing a normal Fuse!! Just cut the Fuse wires high up to the old Fuse, bend outwards and install a self resetting SMD Fuse, never have to replace the Fuse again!
