Paid for Paprium the day preorders went live. Paid for Pier Solar reprint on June 7th I think? BOTH "refunds came back as money sent from Watermelon. They put "refund" in the notes. That indicates to me that their preorder funds were in fact released at some point, and these refunds were paid out of their own pocket.
When I'm not blast processing, I like to write. You can find my short stories and other ramblings at smaman.wordpress.com!
I never thought about it, but now it seems obvious, thanks for pointing it.
By reading this thread, sadly it seems that D4S is no longer working on the project... I'm really looking forward the Stika interview to learn whether the project is still worked on or in pause until Paprium release
Hopefully this thread will finally be put to an end. Cause I'm honestly tired of seeing this thread always bumped to a game that might never be.
***Visualshock! Speedshock! Soundshock! Now is time to the 68000 heart on fire!***
Paprium will be released but I wouldn't say the same for Project N (SNES project).
Maybe we will learn something new about that thanks to stika's interviews.
Just for the record I asked him and he said he has no plans yet.
I've done countless refunds when I was managing WaterMelon. Once a purchase is made, there's a 90 day window in which you can issue a refund to a customer. When that's done, PayPal credits their fee back to the transaction and the customer gets a full refund of the value issued.
If the refund window is expired, though, then a new transaction, literally send money, has to be done. On that process I always took care of paying the fee on my end so that the customer gets a full refund, and on the description field I always wrote the refund details such as the order number so that it could be easily identified.
Got refunded for Paprium. Ah well. If it ever gets released, I might jump back on board. As of right now, I consider it vaporware.
This is just getting sad.
I was thinking the same. Every refund we ask is lesser money for them to spend on the game and all the other stuff. Refunds like Barone's do make a difference in a project like this, IMO. Anyway, I also have the money reserved on my Paypal to get it as soon as it becomes real (if it ever does).
