Never mind - I thought the can was wrapped in some sort of a scissor-required plastic wrap as a box next to it, and I assumed that since the text was white and the background red in the box next to it, that the Paprium drink can was published by Columbus Circle.

The perspective in that photo is whack, I thought it was in a box at first. But I just realized it's on a shelf.

Was anything ever in the cans, or were they as empty as the cases and arcade machine?

These were "Red Bull" pimped cans. You can refer to it as camel piss indeed, I guess :-D

A guy has identified some recent files on paprium.com which may suggest that Fonzie is doing webdesign work to get money and/or planning an update soon or later: http://paprium.com/test/

Fonzie has exchanged work in the past, for example, this studio may have been used to record the voice samples for the game and Fonzie would build them a website instead of paying them money. He did that in the past.

As for the can, I wouldn't dwell much on it. Fonzie likes to produce all sort of merchandise in his quest to make the products be more "commercial grade". From China he has access to manufacturing all sorts of stuff. During my WM times he made samples for multiple thing that could accompany the games. So making these promotional cans for the party is a trivial thing for him, and most likely he distribute some to his favorite fans.

I'm going to make a new game for an exciting Sega platform. Visit my Patreon page.

In the time between when I ordered and paid for the game until this soda can I gave up all sugar and sweetener. So, not only is it an example of how much time has passed, but also, another delay for something I did not want and can't use.
I am really thinking this epic thread is the only thing we will ever get from this project for our hard earned money. I would love to be proven wrong, but this faint hope is all I have at this point in time.

That is one of the things that makes the Paprium saga so funny to me. At that launch party he had more promotional items than any Genesis title since Sonic the Hedgehog. Unfortunately there was just one thing missing, the game.

Yeah. The launch party invitation message was proud to announce you could get a mullet LIKE IN THE GAME and that there'd be leather and bodybuilders LIKE IN THE GAME... What game?

Oh, I forgot about that. Well if anyone wants to dress up as Tug I volunteer to film a live action Paprium movie. The only challenge is going to be finding a time when the subway is totally empty.

The bigger problem would be paying off the resulting damage after you smashed a dozen guys against every wall you could find.

Was that in the demo? I remember Tug punching a drone or something but not smashing guys against walls.

Hey, that may be a good idea for Fonzie. You film something, manage to sell some DVD-R copies, then he can sue you for Copyright infringement and use the money to do whatever it is that is holding this back from release!

Yes your idea is certainly more interesting. I had envisioned it as one man walking alone through the world, until he finally turns into a block of garbled text. It would be a commentary on rebelling against the isolation of the digital age but slowly choosing to accept one's fate. Maybe your idea can be the prequel.

It would be an honor to be listed among the excuses for Paprium's delays, I wonder if that will come before or after he sues the makers of Papirium and the owner of Megawire.xyz.
