Website still shows the "costumer" service is suspended message. I wonder if shipping has resumed at all. Honestly, this is beyond annoying. It shouldn't take 6+ weeks to ship out a product that is already supposedly complete.
Especially when Fonzie is using a third party to do so. No matter how busy he is, that shouldn't keep these games from going out if they're already in a shipping company's possession. There has to be more to this. I have absolutely zero faith our games are even in Las Vegas right now.
Well... if the stuff was shipped, we wouldnt waste our time making conspiracy theories... you know, like sending tracking numbers as proof? Besides, selling the games for 180$-330$ shouldnt fuel theories about WM not having the money in hand to ship the stuff, that would be silly to assume! Its written by Fonzie himself in his silly manifesto that he ships the games at a “high loss”

Pain for fun -
Gold star. A+. I hope you at least invested and also don't get what you paid for. If you are an investor and were lucky enough to receive something please feel free to ship your copy back because your unyielding morals just forced your hand to be a pseudo-hero. If you didn't invest, all I can say is kick rocks. Those that have been through this painful experience have been through enough. You are on your moral high horse about something that was, admittedly, stupid, yet causes no real damage. Please feel free to spend the rest of your life chasing people selling blatantly pirated games on eBay. That should keep your busy for the rest of eternity. That's what the hero would do though right? Those actions are debatably worse so by not taking action you would be a hypocrit right? Because this has nothing to do with vengeance towards Fonzie I open this door for you to take because if you are truly trying to right the theft of property your moral compass shouldn't pick and choose the battles right? Please let me know if you need help. It would take about 2 minutes to get you at least a dozen links to chase after. I can keep providing as many as you need.
Hold up, hold up. I pre-ordered this back in the middle of March 2012, which means its almost been 9 years of waiting. And now I discover from Y'all that Fonzie stuck SOR & GAIII characters in this game and that he may be facing a C&D from SEGA! The worst part of all this is my wife asking me, for the hundredth time, "They ship that game to you yet?". I have to be honest and tell her "No", only to be treated to, once again, multiple loser hand gestures made at me from her forehead. I know that you are out there Fonzie, lurking somewhere in the corners of the web. Know this, you owe us. None of your finger pointing or excuses for delays matter to us. We don't care. Ship us our property and do it now!
Why do people care that there are Streets of Rage and Golden Axe III Easter Eggs? Not one sale of the game was gained from these easter eggs. They were never promoted and they probably account for less then %1 of the games content. These were what a deem a gesture of respect to a couple of classic Sega beat em up franchises. Sega will give no shits about the content and frankly neither should any of the Karens.
Let's go cancel The Revenge of Shinobi while were at it.
Beat Em Up- Streets of Rage 2
Platformer- Sonic 3 and Knuckles
Run and Gun- Gunstar Heroes
Adventure- Story of Thor
Action- Shinobi 3
My partner couldn't believe I pre-ordered something years ago with no tangible evidence of its existence at the time. To be fair she had a point and I was stumped when trying to think of a response.
Maybe you’re from a different upbringing to me, but I was always taught not to sh*t on your own community. Sure, report paedos, murderers or violent criminals to the police, but not Dave who’s selling hooky DVDs down the boozer or Sarah who’s just scored some sensi for her mates. We might hate Fonzie for this complete clusterf*ck but he has delivered at least half of the games he promised, and seems to have an incredible business plan of using a Ponzi scheme to fund the remaining half. His business practices are highly contentious but, love him or loathe him, he is one of us. He loves the Megadrive and in spite his faults he just wants to create games for the platform. Calling a homage “theft” is a huge exaggeration.
I wonder, was you the one who informed Sega about SORR? Were you disappointed when the C&D was issued or did you think they got what they deserved?
That, sir, had the perfect balance of humour and nerdiness. Colour me amused.

Revenge of Shinobi is a good example of the best-case scenario in this kind of situation. Sega were forced to modify their game and while they were allowed to keep Spider-man because of an earlier deal, they had to include a licensing notice on the title screen. And Sega didn't even blatantly lifted sprites from other games; they merely recreated recognizable characters from movie and comic franchises. That's more trademark infringement, which is harder to prove and enforce than copyright infringement.
Also that was a large company (Sega) versus several other large companies. They will try to strike a deal first to avoid expensive lawsuits. But when it's a large company versus a little guy, they won't hesitate to sic their lawyers on them straight away. Long story short: I don't expect Paprium will be treated as favorably as Revenge of Shinobi got back in the day.
I don't necessarily approve of snitching on WaterMelon, but I also think it's naive to think that Sega wouldn't have found out if we just kept quiet. This mess is entirely of Fonzie's own creation and it annoys me to no good, because after waiting for *so* long he would jeopardize his masterpiece with such a brash and ignorant action. It doesn't matter how well-intended it might have been, Fonzie should have learned how the world works before he tried to run any kind of business.
