Ok, I really always liked this website because I am a Sega Genesis fan, and love the reviews and all its content. But this Forum seems to forget that I have been here reporting on feedback even when the Official ( WM ) wasnt or couldnt, and as I explained there was a moment the project was not going as fast as we all wanted for various reasons. Still people talk this way ( Rude ) without knowing the facts.
YES the game is on Genesis... and did you know how complex it is and go to Chinese factories and organise all this to create great packaging and all the components to create this next Cartridge ( that will put to shame ) btw - Pier Solar`s one.
Do people REALISE we are making a game for the SEGA GENESIS ?
How appreciative can we all be for that me included ? Am I really in a damn position to keep beying negative and complain constantly without any further reason, when your getting Feeback ?
Am I obliged to come over this small Forum where only a dozen people come around once in a an while just to complain ? NO, I am not ... And still this all I read is negativity.. It was not easy to get info yes, I consent. But calling people criminals is Offensive.
Its honestly starting to get on my nervs and not worth my time.

You need to stop taking things personally. You are making something that is meant for public consumption and lamenting the fact that the available material paints a less than flattering picture of whatever the group has managed to accomplish. No one is blaming this on you, no one has criticized your work unless you placed it there for criticism. I've made games before, I know what development is like. It doesn't matter what console you're making software for, WM doesn't get a free pass because they chose to make games for a dead system. The criticism is legitimate and warranted. I've purposely avoided posting about the art you've contributed because there's not enough to comment on. I'm sure the very limited amount of content you've shared is not indicative of the work you've done in regards to quantity or quality, so I can't say it's good or bad. That being said, the actual content of the game is in the same boat. Nothing's been shown, so nothing bad or good can be said. But that's just the problem, years after declaration of intent, and after raising funds, there's almost nothing to show for it. What fans DO get is excuse after excuse, and some BS treatment alluding to software development for the Genesis like you're doing some favor for us. Nothing's getting done free, investors invested, it's not like WM won't turn around and release this on some other online service. All people are commenting on is how freaking ludicrous the whole experience has been. I don't have to be an investor to see how abusive this is, and people that HAVE invested are obviously free to their own opinions.
What really makes me laugh is just how crazy things got when Rock Paper Shotgun got on Molyneux's ass about Godus, about how monumentally shortsighted and amateurish that game was handled. Once talk about investment dollars, what 22cans owed or didn't owe investors, fans, and players, things got very real. Molyneux is dealing with investor money, and certain expectations were never met.
I wonder how much total investment dollars went into Project Y. I wonder what RPS would make of WM's progress after all this time. Investors are still sitting on nothing. At least Godus had demos, betas, a mobile version...
I'm just sayin' that WM isn't the first company to treat customers/investors with a complete lack of respect, and that kinda stuff is frowned upon. WM has simply flown under the radar as of late.

SEGA-Jorge, the human bottle of vinegar ... Another sour post as usual! And not a penny spent!
Asking about a refund on a third party forum? Duh! Go to the company's website request your refund? Just use your little mouse and click on the following link: http://magicalgamefactory.com/
Provide them with the transaction record and your full name. They will need to look it up to verify that you INDEED make payment. Since 2 months+ has elapsed, they will not be able to refund the initial amount. When they refund the amount, please post here so I can ROFLMAO! Thanks!
=-=
I wouldn't be surprised if staff from WM stop posting on the forums. I don't think it's worth the headache ... If you were a investor, you'll know exactly where to find them since you made payment on their web site. Any enquiries, comments, criticisms, and suggestions can be posted on the forum. I periodically pop on forums to take a gander at what other investors are talking about.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!

Whether I invested or not is neither here nor there. I don't need to pay to have an opinion, that's a radically narrow minded way to see this. I'm not aiming to be critical at every turn, but there's very little to be excited about here. I'm surprised how adamant you are about defending this kind of behavior. Be objective, the first post here was on 9/13/2012... How much have we seen? At some point this becomes ridiculous, I think we passed that point long ago. I'm not advocating boycott, or anything of the sort, I'm advocating objective, realistic discourse about software that, outside of a very small group of privileged individuals, hasn't been seen by anyone.

In my honest opinion, I think WM work is quality and the price of their commercial releases products is fairly descent compared to others companies (like Super Street Fighter Team who doesn't really make games, their work consists mainly in marketing and redesigning artworks of old pre-existed games).
One thing is important : WM does all from A to Z and they conceive totally new & original games. From a certain point of view, it is a chance. There is some compagnies and big editors which are champions of communication/advert and so on, and how many times you are finally disappointed by their commercial products ?
Big communication doesn't mean quality at the end and I prefer getting less information in order to give more time to WM for having a great game later. As already said, it is a small company, so the time is precious and making weekly news could be prejudiciable for the work in progress. There is enough unexpected things which could delayed a release.
A new "Teatime" video is coming so it will be the moment of truth (especially for all the sceptical people). Show must go on.
Seems, no matter the new information you get , nothing pleases you buddy! So honestly move on in life instead of continuously complaining... Don't know what you think your trying to achieve here, but its like a very bad apple in a sea of apples.
And Yes, this is actually a personal comment from me to you. Nothing to do with Wm or the project.
It has everything to do with WM and the project. All my comments here are directly related to that. The only thing you know about me is in regards to my comments on this topic in particular. I'm sure outside of this, we'd agree on a plethora of topics, but I simply disagree about the value of the things that have been shared in regards to project-y.
ROFLMAO! You didn't read my comment yesterday did you walking "ball ofsunshine"? Here ... I'll post the statement again since you forgot your spectacles at home:
You can continue to post (after negative post after negative post after negative post ad inifinitum) your criticisms, I'll continue to highlight the fact that ... YOU DID NOT PAY WATERMELON ONE DAMN CENT!Yeah, you can continue to spew your criticism ....
I like how you've toned down your recalcitrant attitude all of a sudden the moment I decided to play pin the tail on the donkey.![]()

SEGA-Jorge I'm still surprised that you think something is owed. What's all this "free pass" talk?
You have decided for yourself what you feel should happen up to the release of this game but we have no entitlement to that process.
Sure it's natural to feel that a process we may see for one game might be the same for another but that's not a given.
And even though WM has taken money from us I personally feel this is more of a favor than a product. Feel free to go nuts on that commentBut in all honesty I am so excited for new games being made on retro consoles that I don't mind that it will take a long time; with or without updates.
Some of the words you use are too harsh. WM has not been abusive to us. This experience has not been ludicrous. I do not at all feel disrespected by WM.
The only reason I've replied to several of your comments is because I want WM to know that some of us (hopefully many) are still very excited and keen.
I've invested enough to get myself several copies (gotta have a Genesis version and a Mega Drive version!) and I'm content with where we are now.
XGoldenboyX, I really do appreciate your efforts. And I hope to see you posting on retro forums and enjoying the participation even when you can't give us more details.
I would bet that SEGA-Jorge will no longer be upset when the game is done. He's still one of us!
I absolutely want to buy/play this game. I just don't know what I'm buying and I think that's a silly way to approach this. T this point, it's obvious people are happy with what WM has provided, and although I totally disagree, I don't want to paint a picture of myself or my opinion that isn't accurate. I really think making games for old consoles is great, I just dislike the way WM goes about doing it.
There better be some subliminal messages in this game.

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.
