Enemies should just disintegrate into a bloody mist a la Robocop vs. Terminator.
Or not. I think it's already fine the way it is, but come on, that would look awesome.
Regarding the 'blink and fade' from SoR, it's functional but it kinda sucks from a visual standpoint. SoR3's method I actually find to be slightly more visually appealing, but of course it also sucks from a functional standpoint. At any rate, I like that Project Y is doing something unique.
I like the dying effect.
As long as the enemies give tortured screams as they're doing it, I think we should be fine.
EDIT: What about a mosaic pixelization effect? that would look cool if done nicely IMO.

Attention guys, I'm saying that is there a possibility to change the dying effect on the options screen. Not make a new one. I "think" it shouldn't be too hard.
Tha game already looks awesome, after the hitboxes are fixed, I guess Pier Solar will be dis-throned as the best MD/GEN homebrew.![]()
SEGA, é mais forte que tu!
Don't hink WM team will change anything if it is not obvious and necessary to upgrade the quality of Project Y.
They know where they are running in order to make the game ready for the next step : External BETA.
They want a Beat Them All "different" and don't want to take too many things from old & famous games (SOR etc).
Yes, most probably you are right.
I guess I will have to live with it. The thing that grinds my gears is that I'm hoping that this game would be better than SoRR, (If not, I wouldn't be disappointed because it's for different systems) and some of the things I can't imagine to get better. (WM, prove me I'm wrong!)
SEGA, é mais forte que tu!
Don't worry, if things could be better so perfectionist Fonzie & team will do it![]()
And now they are going forward to getting the best build possible for the External BETA.
One thing I saw in the last Tea Time video was the little place we have to walk around with characters, hope it is not so restrictive for action field in all the stages through the whole game. But maybe it is only because the video quality is bad.
The camera has been zoomed in on the screen during the video so the size of the playing field is deceptive. The old screenshots might give a better sense.
This "Tea time" video quality is terrible, don't understand why Fonzie choose to let us watch a such thing.
Contrary to a lot of people, I think this "Tea Time" don't promote well the game and little is shown concerning content.
It seems like an old build... Perhaps it is to give us a BIGGER surprise next time... Strange.
Errrr ... The "Tea Time" video isn't supposed to be a feature film ya know! The appropriate time to release a HD/high quality video will be when the game is finished and they ar ready to begin advertising it to the masses. I think most people are happy that we finally got a glimpse of the game in action. It at least allays some fears that some people had about the company and or product. Not everyone is familiar with the WM's long wait time between announcement and release of information/release.

Luis in video i could see nice transparency effects, its dithering or did WM team took a step forward in the reproduction this effect on the Genesis?
Maybe it is Highlight/Shadow effects...![]()
Having watched the WIP video about a hundred times, I gotta say I'm lovin' the blue tinted transparency effect that kicks in when the player character goes into overdrive mode or whatever it's supposed to be. The train going past in the subway at the end of the vid looks fantastic and being a fan of Final Fight is exactly the sort of thing I wanted out of this game.
I'm supposing the 'ohhh nooo' and 'approaching' samples are in-game? sounds great if they are.
yes those samples are in game voices; )
We are using dithering and ones awesome feature that you see wen full screen goes Blue effect ... And we are using many other lighting effects rarely used in most genesis games
all I can say is that we are currently working really hard to boost quality further ..and it will certainly take another few months before the game is ready to ship...
