I hope these new screenshots are legit. . .
Well, if that's real, then the game officially looks friggin' awesome!
Honestly beat my expectations to how good the game would look.
Beat Em Up- Streets of Rage 2
Platformer- Sonic 3 and Knuckles
Run and Gun- Gunstar Heroes
Adventure- Story of Thor
Action- Shinobi 3
Indeed It is a very good job they made but I want to see it moving
with more than 3 sprites simultaneous on screen. Work in progress.
Didn't beat minepier solars graphic style was restricted by the engine it was originally written for (the Sega cd). I imagine fonz has made this one push the mega drive to its limits. So I'm expecting something crazy from him

Yep, it does looks fantastic. The shading looks very good in Tug's sprite IMO.
The whole thing looks filled with details.
Can't wait to see a video. It has classic written all over it and looks like it can beat SOR2 handily in the tech department.
Awesome! That chick's high kick anatomy looks a little off though.Plus I'm only seeing three characters on the screen.
There might be something left over from Shiva in that animation.![]()
Oh shit, that's awesome. That Tug spirte is huge. I'm not crazy about the apparent black outline on the characters, but otherwise this game looks fantastic.
That looks mind blowing indeed!!!
HOWEVER: I think the playable characters are a bit odd. Alex is fine!, no complaints here, but Tug and Dice are too unlikeable as playable characters. People need a regular Joe kind of character to identify with, like Axel/Adam in Streets of Rage or Cody/Guy in Final Fight (or Ryu/Ken in SF2). Tug and Dice seem more like Haggar / Zan / Zangief.
I realize that a proposal to add a bland main character doesn't sound too hot on paper but there is a reason practically EVERY story ever told in human history is told from the perspective of some regular kind of person. It allows people to identify with the hero.
That being said, the game looks even better than I anticipated!![]()

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.
