The graphics look great and I hope it plays as well as it looks without a bunch of flicker.

It does look like the font was lifted DIRECTLY out of Streets of Rage 2, though.

Melf: I don't know, I asked Fonz about it though, will get back to you.

Christuserloeser: You are not supposed to identify with the character, you are supposed to identify them as cyberpunk characters :P. If you have so much trouble with the visor, pick Tug (or Alex). Adding a new character this late in the development is extremely complex and costs way too much as well.

Which is a really nice touch imho. It's not exactly the same btw, so they're safe as far as legalities are concerned.

    I see.

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

Nothing is set in stone yet for the cart size so please don't get your hopes up.

^ So the MEG count hasn't been finalized yet? Last I heard we were up to 40 or 48 Megabits.

Don't tell me, they had to scale the game back to 4 MEG ROM

Now I'm hoping this probably won't be a problem for Project Y, but there are a lot of beat 'em ups out there that get boring especially after level 2. Walk a little bit, fight some characters. Walk a bit more, fight the same exact characters again. Walk a bit more, fight the same characters but this time they're a different color, etc. It just seems so boring, like I'm not making any progress. Streets of Rage 2 doesn't have this issue. Well it kind of does but not as much as other beat 'em ups (though I hate level 2 because it has awful music and stupid motorcycles... well mainly the awful music). With Project Y incorporating other cool stuff into the gameplay, I hope this keeps the dreadful repetition at a minimum. So I'm glad it's not just a straightforward beat 'em up. Extreme repetition causes boredom. Please make sure it stays fun and fresh after level 2.

I hope I don't have to give you more gems just to offer that advice.

When can I buy ? I get a cart in a cardboard box ? I agree, the lifebar character name fonts are lifted from sor2. I want something different than sor2.

Wasn't that game finished by a pro company in 90s but just released and/or finalized by Watermelon in 2006 ?
