Where are the previous gameplay previews and screenshots?
No, not really, there were regions where the console was pretty popular (and still pretty easy to find) but the 32X was practically unheard of. Besides, the 32X didn't get many titles people are interested on (there are a bunch of good ones but that's beyond the point), so that probably also helps shrink the pool quite a lot.
Really, by general rule assume no more than the base console and a controller (or two for two players :v). Everything else may be hit and miss if you intend to rely on it.
Just on sales numbers, only ~3% of Genesis owners own a 32x IIRC.
How I wish that was the case. A game like Paprium could have made great use of the 32X and really show off what the system was capable of. I would love to see a game that pushes the 32X to its limits I just can't see any developer bothering with it if they plan on making any money.
I didn't own one back then because it wasn't cheap and I do not own one now for exactly the same reason as of 2018. I bet at least half of this forum is in the exact same situation as me

Wasn't there a video St1ka was making about the Paprium situtation? Was it ever finished already? I can't find it on his channel and I see no talks about it anymore.
I bought mine brand new for 24.99 back in 97 with Doom. I was only 16 at the time working my first job so that was a steal. Hell I got a second 32X with a Genesis 1 HD unit with Sega Cd for like 40 dollars. Hell I flipped my Genesis 2, Sega CD and 40 dollars for a CDX a few years later. Also I dont think anyone has any sales figures that these new games
Absolutely. Back in the day i did not buy a 32X because there weren't any compelling games. If Capcom would have released Alien Vs Predator before their 20th Century Fox license ran out it would have been a different story. And the 32X is still pretty expensive on ebay these days. For the same amount you get a used Saturn with games, which is heaps more fun.
You guys act as if the 32X was NEVER on the clearance rack. The most I ever paid for a 32X game was 15.00 for MK2. 14.00 for Chaotix in 2006 after that I bought Star Wars, VR, Cosmic Carnage, Shadow Squadron and Motocross for 2-4 dollars each. I can't remember how much I paid for my other 32X games. The same Kmart that had 32X on clearance for 24.99 with Doom was also selling MKII 32X for 64.99 (!!!) The late 90s had so much 16-Bit stock that they were trying to get rid of it made no sense not to grab whatever I could get my hands on. A 32X isnt worth it's asking price but who wouldn't want one for 24.99?
The last time I checked for its retail price it was definitely not anywhere near 25 dollars/euros/whatever here in Europe, this was around 96-7 I guess. The first time I looked for one on the internets it was already around 100-150 euros. So yes sorry I didnt bought one between 1997 and 2007, my mistake. Next time please tell me in which decade should I buy each console add-on so I don't look like a moron.
Anyway back on topic, anyone? At this point we can asume the game isn't releasing for the 30th anniversary but mostly 2019. They could aim at a Christmas release but I find doubtful they will be ready to SHIP it around that date. Maybe they'll take some preorders by december, at best.
