Not sure what your post really has to do with topic (what the hell are you saying about Project Y in your above post ?, it's all about jabbing Vector), but I didn't bring up the Yuzo stuff. However it would be cool to have his music blasting out the genesis again (for project y or a sequel, I'm sure $7000 for a 8 stage game would be fair). The graphics look great, I guess May we will get a trailer ? If no Yuzo, oh well I just hope the music is original (not lifted like the c64 examples) and I can buy and get copy in the summer of 2014.

16 characters on screen a once, hopefully 64 megs. Honestly with the great graphics and sprite size, it looks like a Neo Geo game which is awesome.

Anyways, on the Yuzo thing, the idea is a bit outrageous but not beyond the realms of possibility. There's rap artists I used to listen to back in the mid nineties that will get on your track for a couple grand or less, these are not small time dudes either. Maybe not exactly the same thing but the age of the internet has certainly opened up possibilities for colabs that weren't there before IMO.

I don't really see the point in hiring Yuzo Koshiro, he probably hasn't even looked at a Megadrive in 20 years.

There are plenty other composers/producers who could fit the bill nicely and bring their own unique style to the game, that being said if you do a sequel I hope the entire soundtrack is composed by Mike WiLL Made It.

Look at all the money pissed away on artists who aren't involved with project anymore, could have used that $ for a great Yuzo intro. But let's get real, I'm sure you guys will sell for $100 or even maybe put on ebay for $200, so ok 4 of those sales = 1 yuzo track, you guys will get your money back on this project depending on how much you pay graphic artists.

You are going to press 1,000 copies for $50 at first ? That is $50,000.

Pressing of carts, labels instructions and cases = let's say $5,000.
Artists and Programmers = what $10,000 so far ? Because some are "in house" yes ?
Sound Engineer = couple thousand.
Other stuff, few more thousand. In house will check for bugs, crashes, etc.
Promotion, Video trailer.
That's still $30,000 profit !

But let's just double it for the hell of it, add more costs if you are paying people more (people stopped), still $10,000 total profit (off 1 batch) minimum. No, let's say everything costs even more, and you break even on this project, isn't it all worth it ? You can make profit on re issues though (another 1,000 x $50 at least). It's all over google, "retro community" knows about it so it will sell like Pier Solar did.

You guys will still make a killing even off 1 batch, so you are telling me paying him $500 for interlude music or $1,000 for an intro or $2,000 for 2 tracks is breaking your budget ? Not only will the songs be good, but sound good coming out of genesis m1.
