Discussion about banning politics & religion threads, and getting rid of Off Topic, started here:

Would welcome feedback. And if you're gearing up to go First Amendment, note that "free speech" is a canard here -- doesn't apply to privately-owned forums, and Melf can decide that he wants us all to wear tutus before being allowed to post if he so chooses.
Back to Paprium! -- if one can get back to something so...vapor-y.
I think it's time to choose:

I'm locking this thread. If/when there's real news, there will be something to discuss. As it is, this thread has meandered on for hundreds of pages with no real substance.
My inbox today contained an email that seems to be from WM's Magical Game Factory regarding the processing of my requested refund. Here's the text of the e-mail:
"Thank you for your patience.
We had (long ago) registered your refund request and we are processing your refund.
It is possible for you to update your refund method, please contact payments@watermelon-games.com with either:
- Your PayPal address
- Your MGF account for GEMS*
Refund will require extra days of patience, but as always, we honorate all the refund requests.
Please note that, by Dec 29 2020 we will pick by default the original PayPal address used to pay the order."
The message uses my name, but does not specifically mention Paprium (which is the only game I've ever ordered from WM). No amount is specified either.
I'm only around 50% sure this is a legit email as it contains classic examples of phishing such as asking for my Paypal address, not containing specific information about my order, as well as poor grammar. I will not be responding to this message, and I'll see if I actually get a refund on 12/29 since they should already have my Paypal information (and it hasn't changed).
I just got one too. I requested a refund, then thought again and mailed asking to cancel the refund...
My email was telling me there would be more news in the next few hours regarding the game. Curiouser and curiouser... I must say, mine seems legit.
By legit, I mean from Fonzie.

I didn't ask for a refund. However, I did get an email from WM Game Factory, but it talked more about them opening a new Paypal account, how the game was still coming (it was referred to as project Y in the email), and the need to convert GEMS if you haven't done so already.
So it sounds like at least two different emails are going out.
Text of email:
PY investor, you are grandmaster of patience!
You should receive a couple of emails in the next few hours.
The game ... is ... there! Surely it's not perfect but it's still couple of steps ahead of anything made before.
I understand it was a long and scary wait but we decided to put all our effort into making the game happen.
As you may know, we have been scammed by PayPal and had to shut down everything down to our email server for the last three years. For the details, PayPal operate many branches under the same name so we opened a new Paypal Account in USA/IOWA and hopefully this will help.
Unfortunately the MGF concept, while ahead of its time, had too few resources to be properly implemented, most of the other projects we had outsourced/backed or planned didn't come to fruition and the concept is way too complicated when you look at the flatness of websites like kickstarter. I did now cut off all the features and pages related to the factory to avoid further spam, confusion and stupidity. I don't have any regret about making the pages back then and deleting them now.
More details is enclosed in each copy of the game, for you to read.
PS: For the (very few) of you who did rage-quit, you're still in the game and thanks anyway.
If you didn't do that before, you MAY still need to convert your invested GEMS into Pre-Orders, if not already, please sign-in, go to your profile, projects section and click the PAPRIUM project link. If you still have GEMS to convert, it will open a small window about it. I'll get back to you later and ensure your generated preorders gets shipped as well.
Thanks again,
Fonz

Edit: Another thing. The WM MGF site let me go in and update my address (which was very needed).
Looks like it'd be a good idea (assuming you still care) to go in and re-verify your pre-order.

I just went on my guest account that I made 3 years ago after contacting Fonize for the link(He instantly responded). I just confirmed my order and it's now in the "Packing" status.
Same here, Log in, confirm my order/shipping adres and now:
Status: Order completed
Status: Packing...
Pfff.... the prices for buying the game now are though the roof:
Paprium Limited EU - 229...![]()
