Fonzie contactwd me, i think there is only 13 made, he told me that its the japanese investor edition with the golden cart inside, and a hand written note. I will do an unboxing when i get it. He also offered to change it for a golden stick (only 16 made) if i wanted, but i already had 2 joystick ordered

Wasn't there supposed to be some golden carts? They were some kind of prize for the people who spreaded more discount codes, if I recall correctly. I still haven't seen one.

They will be shipped once the rest of the games reach people. I dunno if i will post pictures of mine but there is one guy who said they will. I will open mine either way. There are 16 carts and it seems 16 joysticks. There used to be a list of winners on the mgf but i forgot to save that but i'm pretty sure i can find out if i looked.

It's a shame that now that the game is finally out, this thread is still used mostly to talk about delivery issues and Fonzie's scummy business practices rather than the game itself. It shows that Paprium will forever be tainted by the drama surrounding it, which is really unfortunate.

Coming back to the game itself, yesterday I went through the Skyline stages and beat the final(?) boss. I got an unsure ending which is what I was expecting. What I wasn't expecting was for my save game to get locked afterwards. I know, it's in the manual, but I had forgotten about that little detail. I had wanted to go back and complete all of the side missions from the throned characters to see how it would affect the ending, but I can't do that anymore now. Guess I'll have to start over with a new save. Bit of an annoying design choice, that. Lesson learned: make sure to copy your save to another slot before heading out to the final stages.

Also now that I've unlocked the Boom Box, I tried recording a few music tracks from my model 1's headphone jack to my Sound Blaster X-Fi HD. They turned out quite well, so I uploaded a few samples to SoundCloud:

For now this includes just the main theme and my two favorite tracks from Powder Zone and Police HQ. They're recorded in 96 kHz 24-bit and I've only done a few rough edits on them, reducing noise and trimming silence. This was originally meant for personal use only, but if any of you like these recordings and want more, let me know.

I know it's asking a lot, but I hope you do the whole soundtrack. I love listening to these. Thank you Devil N!

I'll see what I can do in the coming days. The whole soundtrack won't be possible yet anyway since there's still a bunch of songs locked for me.

Damn I forgot why I didn't order this game back when WM was taking orders wait I think it had to do with the silly gems systems they use. Anyways might still grab this game with my stimulus money, though it is a bit in the way to expensive category for me.

Just ended playing it for the first time.
Played the Arcade on Hard.
I have not watched any videos of the game, I didn't want to spoil it.

I have no complaints so far. Could it be better? Maybe... but I'm happy with the game.

I still have to play the other modes.

And I still dont like the look of the golden stick. I think Im just picky. I was looking thru that thread and though "oh thats funny, the French word for game cart is the same as their word for bullet casing, then I was like "oh wait..."

Anyone tried with the hao Fei clone please?

It works on mine (it's a MD1 clone). Note that i'm speaking about a dev version of Paprium which is close to the final version still not 100% the same (sound driver not included).
I didn't tested yet with the final version but i guess it should work the same.
Also interestingly i noted that the game has some weird slowdowns only for some seconds when you start a level, then it goes smoothly afterward.. that is really weird and that seems to occurs on others clones as well.
