Still in the same situation here. I know it's WM we are talking about, but the majority of issues in anything to do with customer service are down to poor communication, simple open communication and updates will eradicate most assumptions and guessing that are being made, then this thread would have probably 5 or 10 less pages! To have the shipping status update on 15th December to 'Shipping...' and then no further updates in over two weeks seems like madness to me, especially as it's being reported that people *are* receiving their games when this status is showing.

I fully appreciate with worldwide Covid issues and for those of us in the UK Brexit going on that there are likely to be some delays, but why not mark that status as 'Pre Shipping...' and then update with the message explaining how they had decided to postpone some shipments from the USA. I just can't understand how difficult that would be.

I also never worked out why my game is coming from the US, when I live in Europe? Is it because I chose the Genesis packaging? Did anyone having games shipped in Europe go for Genesis packaging?

I am sure I will get some flack for this, but for the sake of not cluttering up this subforum, I merged all threads regarding Paprium into one thread.

Oh boy. Why stop there? We could have a single Mega Drive / Genesis thread.
"Clutter" is subjective. Now gameplay, shipping and faulty cart discussions will all be mixed in the same thread. That sounds messy to me, aka cluttered.

I'd also mix it with the original thread, so we could have a Mega Thread 😅

I found myself just ignoring the pills after a while because I don't even find them that interesting or useful, except maybe in a pinch. Now, if popping a pill opened up a new move set, even a limited one, that would go miles to making pills that much more interesting. Streets of Rage 3 sort of did this with your special attack charge meter which allowed you to perform certain super attacks and made the game a lot more fun I thought.

I wasn't aware you get addicted? What happens with that? What is the process?

The addiction mechanic seems to be the length of the blue section of your life meter. When you are low on life, that section has the player going into the downed state when they run or block. It limits options and can act as a sort of wild card, occasionally making you take hits as a result of the down state length. From what I understood, addiction either increases the time you are in that downed state, or increases the addiction meter length, or both. There may be additional side effects. Ask your doctor is Blue Pill is right for you.

oh yeah, especially with such a BUSY forum as this one. wouldn't want other topics being pushed to the 2nd page too early.

Took out my Paprium cart out of my MD1 earlier and it started rattling. Yup, the metal plate had come loose inside my cart as well. That took only 2 weeks after arrival to happen. Opened it up, stuck it back with some two-sided tape and everything is fine now. But safe to say that this will happen to everyone's cart sooner or later, even if it didn't arrive with the plate loose.

How do you break that door in the first stage, Block 888? I know I've broken it other times, but now it seems to take way too much damage and never breaks. There were some items inside.

That took me a while to figure out too, but it's really very simple. All of the breakable doors and pathways can only be opened once you've cleared the area of baddies. If there are still enemies around they won't budge. Sometimes you have to walk forward a bit more for the rest of the enemies to show up, but after you've defeated everyone the door should break with just a few hits.

I beat the game's 3 main paths on hard today (original mode). Had two characters throned in middle and lower areas. Finished the Solarium and obliterated the "final boss".

Game file is now locked as others have mentioned.

Can anyone say what the next step is in unlocking more of the game? I see that all of the paths are selectable in arcade mode now. Has anyone put together a comprehensive list of unlockables and how to progress?

Do I need to play on arcade mode again now and pick the lowest path? Or does the game only really unlock on very hard mode (extra characters, etc)?

There was no reward or unlockable for beating the game on hard. Looks like it might just be a matter of taking a slightly different path to get to a fight with Baba and back up to battle the police chief.

Thanks! That worked. I only needed to walk a few steps and the door went down with three hits

Beating the game on Hard should unlock the sound test (Boom Box) feature in the Options menu, though a number of tracks are still locked. It showed up for me after defeating the final(?) boss in any case.

I've started a new save on Very Hard mode, under the assumption that completing all the extra missions on the three main paths will/might trigger the "true" ending. I'm not sure if that is actually how it works, but I'm determined to find out.

No idea how to unlock the Arena mode yet. It hasn't shown up for me so far.

Also on my new Very Hard save, the Sexy Sax Man has appeared several times now. He never appeared for me before in Hard mode. So either it's determined by the difficulty setting, or he only shows up on your second save.

Hey, I don't know if this has been said before, but I've found a shortcut at Block 888. Right after you leave the apartment, beat all the enemies AND break the containers, taking the items. Don't scroll to the right. Go left instead, and you'll hear "Sneaky!". It leads straight to the end of the stage, you fight the boss normally, and then go to the Intercom as usual.

    Found this by accident, really.

Yeah I've found that by accident too. It's pretty useful when you're grinding through the different paths because you end up playing that same map over and over a lot otherwise.
