I feel for you, I'd be livid if that happened to me. Here's hoping you get your tracking no.

This is encouraging!! It shows Fonzie did not intentionally block it (why he couldn't have just said that, who knows). If the game already runs without crashing it seems like Kevtris ought to be able to fix the graphical glitches.

Well, yes and no. He wrote a routine that tells the game if power isn't supplied all at once (like a real Genesis) then run the slightly different version of the minigame. My guess is that the chips get power before you select "run cartridge" and that triggers it. Kevtris will have to find a workaround because currently there is ZERO way to run the game from the Mega Sg menu.

Yes the game runs fine except that the HUD is unreadable. Also the game will only see your controller as a 3 button controller unless you call up the in game menu after the game is launched and enable controller passthrough. This is also the only way to use the Grandstick III. But you have to do this with a regular controller before you plug in the Grandstick 3, as the Grandstick 3 won't function at all before doing this. Well unless you change the DIP settings so that it shows up as a regular no-frills 6-button controller but I haven't tried that.

Also change Boot Sequence Delay to 0. Also be sure to go to SETTINGS > AUDIO and make sure that ENABLE CARTRIDGE and CD AUDIO is checked if you wanna hear all of the sound. Also note that Controller Passthrough needs to be enabled for your 6-button controller to work. You have to do this after the game is already booted from the Mega SG’s in-game menu as far as I know.

What firmware version are you using? This method doesn't work with the latest jailbreak.

Also, as I mentioned some pages back, the Grand Stick III is not detected by the Mega Sg unless you unplug it and plug it again.

So its all to do with the cart internals receiving power and going through the detection process prior to the MegaSG initialising properly?

My order is shiped from 2 parcels. One from France (already received) and --i don't know why--, one from Las Vegas (Shipping... since 15/12/2020 no tracking number for this one).
    And i'm living in France.

I wrote a Ticket the 27/12/2020 (with message : "Waiting Answer Relax, we usually answer support tickets within 63 hours.")
now it's still on "Waiting Answer Relax, we usually answer support tickets within 131 hours."

Thanks for sharing. I also used all of these settings the first time I tried to play. without success. Could still be related to specific firmware or even that the trolling game needs to be completed before it will work. I need to check again when I get some time.

What's your video mode? Zero Delay 60 FPS or one of the two buffered modes? Do they all actually work?

I doubt that is going to change since Analogue tells you not to insert or remove carts when the system is powered on. Always wished that it was designed to kill the cart slot as long as the game isn't "running" and it's at the main menu.

But it's as we suspected. It won't run if Daten and the 68k portion aren't started at the same time.

Yeah. And the fact that the Mega SG is not a real Mega Drive / Genesis.

I have had nothing but a positive experience? Fonzie has responded to all three of my tickets, I got my package on time and even ordered a Grand Stick III scheduled for April. We shall see. I am loving my game and experience with the system recently. The 3 year silence was almost unforgivable.

Over the past few days I've continued to record tracks from Paprium's sound test, did some light editing on them, and compiled them into a partial soundtrack designed to mimic how you experience the music in the game itself. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out:

I'm a little hesitant to upload the tracks to SoundCloud as well (you can get better lossless audio quality there) because obviously these songs are not made by me, and SoundCloud kinda is meant for sharing your own work. I don't want to get into any trouble with regards to their terms of service. So YouTube will have to do for now.

I did notice some minor glitches here and there while listening back during editing. Not sure whether that's because of aging hardware, a software bug, or maybe some kind of timing issue. It's just how my model 1 plays it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Was it recorded from a PAL system? It's likely that the timing might be off due to that, 'cause some of the cues my Cyber Ninja ravaged
mind expects seem to be a little early or late.

Yeah that's probably it. I could have a listen to see if there's any difference between playback in 50 Hz mode or 60 Hz mode on the same system.
