I'm not sure if you're just adding your own thoughts or misunderstood my point. It looks like there will be fixes and additions in the future versions. The next version of Genesis carts may have a different revision altogether. Do the current carts have enough space to add those fixes? Thinking that the current amount of content on the cart is enough or not is subjective and is a separate topic from the amount of space on the cart or if an update is possible.
Would updating the carts remove content? Those extra GA & SOR stages contain copyrighted content. Would the original carts keep those stages if updated or would they get removed? This would force people to have to choose what is more important to them.
Toys: PS5, PS3,PSVita, Xbox, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Saturn, JVC X'Eye, Game Gear, NES, SNES, Neo Geo, Neo Geo CD, Turbo Duo R, PS1, PS2
Movie Setup: Vizio M65, Fluance ES 5.1, Definitive Technology SC 4000, Sony STR-DN840, Apple TV 4k, Synology DS413j with 12TB of media.
The more I think about it, the more I’m inclined to go for the classic version just to get the updated version. I would double dip and get the Switch physical but there are rumours (?) it is a code in a box. If so then the cost is nothing short of scandalous.
The man said so himself on some youtube interview IIRC. The extent of that update/bugfix is yet to be determined. He said the carts that remain to be shipped (even older ones) will have updated versions.
Also now there is a Grand Stick IV...

Genuine, non-provocative question:
what kind of "fix" or improvements are backers expecting or hoping for?
Personally, I wouldn't count on anything core like hit detection and AI
Another question:
how do you feel buying the same MD game twice?

I think the only fix would be to get Paprium to work on all revisions of Genesis/MS consoles.
People have said the game just won't run on some official hardware. If the fault is Paprium then that would be a very important fix.
Personally, I don't feel Paprium needs any tweaking (AI or otherwise). The game plays great.
