Not only that but the MegaWire itself is just going to be a simple TRRS to USB cable, the kind of thing you could put together for a few dollars. I'm sure Fonzie will try to disguise that fact and charge 10x what it's worth.

but this whole commercial and him trying to make it seem like its compatible with a lot of games.. that's just wrong.

It's less about saving a dollar and more about spending 25 for a questionable patch to a 70€ or whatever I paid for game where I don't think the patch is going to do much more for me other than... being able to show people what it does.

You'd think you wouldn't need to have a separate device, honestly the dongle came as an interesting bad surprise.

These were my thoughts too. You'll also be reliant on a Fonz based SLA for Paprium's online services. If his track record of keeping services online is anything like his websites then this idea could be in trouble. That said the 600k+ should keep it going for a while I guess 😉

I don't know... the KS picture of he goals lists "PayPal locustery"(???) at around 620K which I undertand as it being how much cash WM has "lost" in PayPal... and further there's a "WM makes profit" way above 800K. Could that mean that most of this cash is actually covering existing debt? How much will be actually available for the game dev and other manufacture expenses is the biggest question... I guess I'll see it along the way as I'm backing a substantial sum through many of the offered products.

Same for me. I have my fingers crossed that they don't screw this up now that they have a substantial $$$ flow. I thought about getting the GrandStick but ultimately decided not to because I didn't want to risk that much.

I'm hesitant on the megawire thing, but besides online scoring, will that deliver actual bugfixes or added content (levels) ? Most importantly, will it "fix" the AI/gameplay? I'm not very hopeful. Also will someone hack the thing so you can update the rom just using regular 2.5 audio cable connected to a computer that is already connected to the satellites ?
