Cruise by Diskman Presents: filled with geektastic classic gaming goodness!
my 10 must haves are the entire sonic series, el viento, valis 3, any ea nhl game any ea nba game, any one of the disney series apart from fantasia which was crap
Here are some greats:
Adventures of Batman and Robin (any game that nearly gives me carpal tunnel syndrome earns my very hard to get respect)
Revenge of Shinobi
Aladdin
Moonwalker(seriously though, love the music!)
Shinobi III
Outlander (till you get out of the car)
B.O.B.
Desert Strike
Ecco the Dolphin
Cyborg Justice (please don't kill me...)
Vectorman
Maximum Carnage (again, please don't...)
T2 Arcade (except for the chase levels, hate those)
Jurassic Park (Now, if only I could pass Grant's level 3!)
Turrican (see Cyborg Justice, Maximum Carnage)
Street Fighter II
Rastan Saga II (A oft-unheard of gem, the arcades got it as Nastar.)
Whoa, and I thought I was the only Turrican fan here...
Anyway, my list:
Mega Turrican: Good lord, need I say more? The music and graphics in this game are incredible, and the gameplay's just simply amazing.
Turrican: The Amiga version is FAR superior, but the Genesis one's just too good to ignore too.
Universal Soldier: If only for the fact that Turrican 2 peeks out through this terrible makeover at points. I've actually considered a ROM hack of this that brings it closer to its original gem.
Ghostbusters: I love the title music in this one... and it's really a fun platformer as well.
Alisia Dragoon: So overlooked. Pretty nice game, even though I'm terrible at it.
Gunstar Heroes: Anyone who doesn't like this probably doesn't like breathing either.
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker: Strangely fun game, here. I don't know WHY I like it, I just do.
Space Invaders 91: Quite possibly the GREATEST rendition of Space Invaders released... Just a little bit better than Space Invaders Revolution on the DS.
Taz-Mania: I'm probably one of the biggest Taz fanatics you'd ever see, and this game didn't sorely disappoint me with incredible difficulty like the GB one. (Then again, I wasn't too old at the time of playing that one... 8 or 9, maybe?)
OutRun: Great music, pretty nice looking too... and it's one of those simpler-paced racing games, where you're only racing against the clock. Yummy.
Comix Zone: Okay, so I know this is a 11th game. I just couldn't bear to leave Comix Zone out, though... It's just such an interesting game, with a decentish plot to boot.
Ten must haves, eh?
Ecco the Dolphin - I don't think a top ten list of Genesis games would be complete with out Ecco. Aside from the awesome, if not meant for mere mortals gameplay, I just love the plot. Time traveling, alien fighting, and the Asterite.
Ecco the Dolphin: The Tides of Time - I think the above goes double for this game.
Phantasy Star II - I don't think I need to elaborate on this one.
Phantasy Star IV - Or this one.
Shining Force II - The second has always been my favorite. I liked the story more, I liked the characters more, and they streamlined the gameplay.
Ristar - I simply cannon leave out the most genius 2D platformer ever created.
Gunstar Heroes - This game is just fun is all!
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - When I was a kid, the Genesis was defined by Sonic games. To me, at least. These next three are the best blue hedgehog games to ever grace a console. I still think Sonic Rush tops them, but that was on the DS.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Sonic and Knuckles
I can accept some of the other picks, but this is an awful port of an already lacking sequel.Originally Posted by KenshiroX
I'll second that, this is really bad, although it does contain the slightest ounce of charm and has a fairly decent song or 2.Originally Posted by Alianger

Herzog Zwei: One of Technosoft's finest. If you truely want to see the Genesis hardware pushed to the limits, this is the game. One of the greatest 2 player games on the Genesis. Add it to your collection, you won't regret it.
Phantasy Star II: One of the first titles I'd bought for the Genesis, and one of the best.
Beyond Oasis: A solid overhead action RPG.
Gaiares: One of the greatest shooters on the Genesis.
Fire Shark: A solid shooter.
Lightening Force: A stunning shooter for the Genny.
Contra - Hard Corps: They weren't kidding when they put the name Hard in the title.
Shining in the Darkness: This is one of the best RPGs on the Genesis.
Mech Warrior: Forget the 3-D versions of this game. This Desert Strike like overhead view, is the only version of the Mech Warrior I really enjoyed.
Desert Strike: Everyone should have played at least one version of the Strike series on the Genesis.
Snatcher (Sega CD): I had to include this Sega CD title on the list. It's the videogame equivalent to Blade Runner. I'm still kicking myself for ever selling this game.![]()

I knew it was Mechwarrior. The title was Mechwarrior 3050 for the SNES and was changed to Battletech for the Genesis.Originally Posted by wiki

Wasn't there an FPS-style Mechwarrior game for SNES?
Revnege of Shinobi
Shinobi III
Rocket Knight Adventers
Gunstar Hereos
Crusader of Centy
Ghouls'n'Ghouts
Quackshot
Beyond Oasis
Gaiares
Golden Axe
I know there some I'm forgetting that are more deserving but my head isn't working right now.
Yes there was. It came out before Mechwarrior 3050.Originally Posted by Genesis Knight
