It's a good thing you don't do that anymore...I'd hate to have to cast the evil eye at you or pants you in public.

I tutor the stupid at my university's "Academic Center for Excellence." It's a frustrating job, but since they pay me to be there regardless of whether a student shows up, I try not to complain. I really don't like the job, though. I don't have enough patience in me to explain simple things over and over to people who should be flipping burgers somewhere.

Ahh and that is why I'll never go to a tutor. I know what you mean, I've tutored before and I know its a pain in the ass, but just because some people don't 'get it' right out the box like you might, that hardly warrants them giving up thats just weak.

Hell at least they're in college, that right there should put them at least 1 peg above McDonalds. Burger joints should be left for the people that think G.E.D.s are just as good as a high school diploma and the meth-heads downtown.

Seriously though if thats the stance you take about your peers then I'd get out of that job as thats a cancerous attitude to walk around with.

Ah, I should clarify. I really don't mind tutoring the students who try, no matter how long it takes for them to understand things. The burger-flippers I'm talking about are the students who are forced into tutoring and really don't give a damn about learning the material. (Who are usually people who are only in college in the first place because mommy and daddy paid for it.) The ones who think that tutoring is some manner of magic and that they don't actually have to put in any effort for the tutoring to work. Also the athletes. My university has a policy that athletes have to go in for tutoring for a certain number of hours a week to stay on their respective teams. And most of them really don't want to learn a damn thing.

So, when I say "stupid," I really mean "lazy bastards who don't want to put in any effort of their own." Well, except for the truly stupid. They do their best, but sometimes I just have to advise them to drop the class and try again next semester.

True, I really don't make a lot of money, but there are tons and tons of benefits that makes up for it. Free housing, cheap health insurance, GI Bill, etc. Plus it helps I came in with the highest rank one can enlist with (E-3) so I make $200 more a month than an E-1. And you get a pay raise, a tiny one, regardless of rank every January.

Sadly, I won't make rank again for another 20 months. And after that, making rank will be tough.

It also helps that I saved up a good chunk of $$$ before I went in. I'm going to laugh when all of the people I go to school with, when mommy and daddy cut them off, and then they are going to have to fend for themselves and either go bankrupt, or have lots of debt.

I work as an electrical engineer. I'm satisfied with the money i earn, but the problem is that i'm located in Greece and MD games are nowhere to be found here. Ebay is my one and only option and the S&H fees are sucking my blood...

I teach basic English courses, as well as specialty courses (linguistics, phonetics, literature, methodology) to English majors. Being married and with two kids doesn't leave me much extra cash at the moment, so I basically sell my unwanted games and "reinvest" the money in new ones. It's the only way to buy games this gen, considering how damn expensive they are.

I have to take some test in a week for Progressive so I can become a customer service rep and talk to everyone about THERE problems.

They like aftermarket parts. My buddy is an estimator and won't even deal with them anymore.

Sounds like the job of my worst nightmare.

I think all those years of having it hammered into my head have left me unwilling to want to learn the mechanics of the language.

I'm in the US Air Force. I don't make a lot of spending money but most everything I need is provided for me (food, housing, power, water, health care/insurance/etc). So with careful budgeting I can afford a lot of nice things.

While I'm not a collector per se-- I don't care about condition, I want to have the games to play, that I had when I was younger, and that I find interesting now. If I won't play it, I won't buy it, and I've been known to buy brand new games (like SMB2 [FDS], Doki Doki Panic and Ecco II) just to be the first one to open and play them.
