Starlight Zone has always been my favorite, but I think nowadays it's followed closely by Labyrinth Zone. However, I hated LZ when I was younger.

Springyard Zone has always been the biggest chore for me to get through, though. I think it's the most boring of all the original Sonic levels.

    Labrinth Zone.

Whomever thought of that "infinite length" slide is a genius. An evil genius.

Star Light Zone is Definitely the best, followed by Green Hill Zone.

The worst are Marble Zone and Labyrinth, followed by a mediocre Spring Yard Zone and a very good Scrap Brain Zone.

It's actually ridiculously easy to do if you follow the shortcut.

Yes, I am aware of that, but I'm talking for all those who still like a challenge can take the trecherous long route - I remember when I ran that zone in 22 seconds , it amazing to believe that it's possible to do it even faster!

It was a tough pick for me but I would have to go with Spring Yard. The level just blew me away back in the day with it's pace and overall structure. Not to mention I just loved the music. My second pick would have to be the classic Green Hill Zone.

Green Hill Zone is a great place to try to see how fast you can make it through a level which is really addicting trying to beat you or your friends record.

I can't believe Starlight Zone has beaten GHZ at the moment! Starlight is relaxing and awesome, but I would have expected GHZ to be most people's clear favorite -- the most classic and trippy Sonic level ever! (Aside from trippy special stages of course.)

Green Hill Zone is just too much of a "training" level. Nothing terribly taxing, not a whole lot of vertical exploration, comparatively boring music; it's just a plain vanilla stage.

Who is voting for Springyard Zone, though? Yuck!
