That shows what the first poster said.

Well, yes, I realize this. But it's more fun to imagine that everyone in this thread hopes to someday overcome Ms. Foster's preference for her own.

Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest pound-for-pound fighter in the history of boxing.

That was a long ass time ago. Im sure boxers have gotten better since then. No one even saw him fight live unless youre really old.

I'm only 24, so unless I used some kind of time-machine, it would be kinda difficult to have seen him in his heyday.

But I do know a thing or two about the sport of boxing and it's history.

When you say "I'm sure boxers have gotten better since then" leads me to believe you maybe think this is like a track meet where you can shave seconds of your best time. lol
Training techniques, fitness regiments have changed, sure, but the basics have always stayed the same. And this dude Robinson did them better than anyone else past or present. I repeat, past or present. That's pure fact, not speculation or my imagination. lol

Let me break it down for you:

This guy was absolutely the perfect fighting machine.

He was a master boxer, steel-chinned, iron-willed, a chilling puncher with dazzling speed. He possessed sharp reflexes, amazing agility, grace, accurate timing, clever footwork, a vicious punch in either hand and the ability to take a punch and attack going in any direction.

No one compares to this dude. Even Ali held this guy up as his inspiration.

Go and check out those fight films from back in the 50's and 60's. You'll see what I'm talking about.

I hear ya, 2012 sucked a big one.. not the worst year (that was 2001) but it was pretty sucky nonetheless.
