He Will Rise Again (Once I've Located The Original Signatures)
Hey, don't blame me. I thought it was pretty clear who solved that riddle. It's not my fault that Da Shocker is Da Dum.
Its not my fault Spacely has it out for you.

That's Mister Spacely to you.
Pardon the double-post guys...
I picked up Lego Indiana Jones for my son the other day (a pleasant surprise for $4 mixed in with the DVDs). Tonight we sat down together and played through most of the Lost Arc segment. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the experience. Normally, I don't have a lot of patience for multiplayer (particularly with a six year old, to be frank), but working together to solve the light-but-satisfying puzzle aspects of the game was one of the best things we've done together in longer than I'd care to admit.
I still think that LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Star Wars II are the Traveller's Tales LEGO series' finest points. After that LEGO Batman and LEGO Indy 2 were just massively boring.

The Lego games are definitely a thing of this generation. I can't possibly get into them. They feel like Mario Party meets Tetris meets *Insert intended genre*. There's a constant sense for me that they're purposefully alienating you from the "intended genre" (i.e.-Star Wars, Batman, etc.). You know they had the means (budget and artistry) for a great Star Wars/Batman game, but instead went the mainstream, "let's try and please everybody", route. It's kind of how I first felt when I watched Beowulf. With all that effort and money that went into that great story, why in the world would they not have made it a live action film?

Huh, I did not get that at all. I played the shit out of the Lego Star Wars games and loved them. I found it to be an almost flawless combination of two seemingly disparate franchises, with clever gameplay that was light enough for younger gamers, and engaging enough for the more experienced ones. And the fact that it did an excellent job balancing being both a send-up and an homage to the movies was just icing on the cake.
Of course, I like the Mario games for many of the same reasons, so no accounting for taste.
Edit: Oh, and Beowulf was awful. I don't like any of that guy's animated movies.

I liked Beowulf, but I didn't really care for how it was written. Neil Gaiman is overrated IMO (although I did like Coraline). I didn't like Grendel's design either. I always envisioned him to be kind of a brutish lizard man, not a giant deformed emo. If you want a good Beowulf that isn't really Beowulf then check out Outlander.
