I'm going to laugh when DarkDragon comes back and says he doesn't like that game. It'll be just like last time, lol!!

Parasol Stars is ok but I probably like the graphics/artwork/animation better than the game itself. I dont own it anyway. I dont see whats wrong with posting stuff about games you arent big fans of because you are posting also for people to see who are fans. Last Battle is so so to me. Im not a really big fan of pre Sonic Genesis games. I think theres a topic about pre Sonic Genesis games on the Genesis board.
Yeah same here, they all have that choppy feel to 'm, and Last Battle isn't worth playing without the Fist of the North Star story.
if it still had the FOTNS stuff then I would have played it, now it seems like a bad romhack ala Mario's Adventures in the buttsex kingdom.
I owned and played Last Battle all the way through the last level back in the day, but never beat it. When Genesis emulation finally took off I discovered that it was actually Fist of the North Star and began replaying the game in its original version. The game is the same, but having the enemies explode rather than fly off the screen made more sense at least. I'd put the boss fights of Last Battle above Fighting Street and well above average for that kind of fight. To me it was a good continuation of the very unique boss fights in Black Belt.

The problem is, with the ones that actually get finished anyway, that everyone tries to make them stupid hard instead of just fun. The original game was challenging, but it was also a lot of fun. It didn't force you to go through the levels a certain way either. You could take shortcuts or the hard way for lots of rewards. SMB3 hacks are like this too.

I remember when hacks used to be fun, like.. Super Bald Mario, or Wheelchair Mario (which worked surprisingly well)
what else.. oh yeah those Mario 1 graphics improvement hacks, or the Luigi hacks with new levels.
Fun times.
Yeah, that's what I meant. I was pretty amused by that little exchange.
It's not a phase or anything, I'm just a bit of a shit head. I don't outright wish for bad things to happen to other people, but I do get a small amount of entertainment out of situations that don't quite work out like the involved parties would have hoped.

Can't give ya more rep until I spread it around more. But this is so true. It seems like half the reason they make them like that is so that terrible Let's Players can get more views by getting angry at the fact that they can't beat them.
I'd love to see a great Super Mario World hack with actual good level design. Hell, I'd buy a Super Everdrive to play it on!
