But, now the folks over at Vogons are saying that Virtualbox can in no way share your video card or sound card driver with the host system, it will only support 3D acceleration through emulation/mapping from what I can tell.

So, Jackal, I just wanted to confirm that you have not gotten Virtualbox to install actual drivers.
Sorry Sheath I truly thought you could. I apologize for wasting your time, I didn't intent to do that. I generally thought you could install whatever you wanted. I'm a bonehead. Sorry.

Well that isn't a huge problem, have you gotten any Windows 95/98 games to work in it? I haven't tried yet because I couldn't get the drivers to load.

Yeah; MDK, Civilization II, Sonic R, Sonic & Knuckles Collection all installed and run great (except for MDK having one small issue with the resolution, but that's a common problem with the game).

EDIT: Panzer Dragoon worked alright as well.

Okay, that is awesome. I just need to prioritize which games to play on the 90s box and which on the HTPC now. Oh life decisions.

Just a small warning, you need to "patch" Sonic & Knuckles Collection for it to run correctly; basically you just create an ini file and dump it into the Windows folder on your C drive. Otherwise it runs at hyperspeed (the irony).

Well at least you had friends at one time. I have a phone and whenever it rings I get panic attacks because the only time anyone calls me is when something terrible happens. And I only have emails for e-shopping.

Ha me too, that's why I turned my phone off, at one point it was either just the ex gf sending me text messages,
(which always gave me a panic attack cause that relationship never really went anywhere, and she was always just using me as a distraction)
or I'd get calls from like.. sweepstakes or those "may we ask you a couple questions!" shit.
and that was all because some fucking idiot kept using my phone number to register him/herself to fucking sites like that.
(which finally ended after I had my phone number put on a special Dutch "don't call me list")

But I should really use my phone sometime, Don't wanna lose my eh.. what's the English for that, my.. credits? whatever.
