Yesterday I met my girlfriend parents... I crapped my pants.
too old for video games huh?
Oh ebay. So many watchers so few buyers..
I sell about 1/10th of what I put on ebay BiN/BO in a single month and my prices are always at or below recent completed listing values. I'm thinking of branching out into clothing to see if their sales are less lumpy. Games really don't sell except during school breaks, but at least they are currently only five cents a month to keep online. At fifty cents per month I'd probably wait until November to list anything game related worth less than $20.

"We ... put Sega out of the hardware business ..." Peter Dille senior vice president of marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment
"Sega tried to have similarly strict licensing agreements as Nintendo...The only reason it didn't take off was because EA..." TrekkiesUnite
I always have listings end on Sunday night. I have noticed the more feedback I get the more my sales go up sometimes beating people I shouldn't even. Some how I am actually getting pretty damn near the top with the best match crap which no seems to know how works. Despite all this this last month has been absolutely dismal. In fact I lost my little 20% which is hurting.
While I sell a lot more then games but I'm starting to think a large portion of gamers must be retarded. When I offer a better price, better condition, faster shipping and I have better feedback and they buy from from someone else it makes me think. Going through the sold listing though it happens all the time.
I have been experimenting with vintage clothing but its been tricky. People tell me to try ETSY but its resembles a clicky mix of Facebook and Ebay. Its seems to be run by insane artsy spitting cobra types. Also its lack of a shipping calculator is infuriating. I ship over seas often and that really makes their lives more difficult when they have to email for a price since there are more then five countries out there.
If you are going to sell clothes keep your open for is military stuff. Vietnam stuff is starting to go up in value and if your so lucky to find anything WWII it can bring in much more. People in places where their was a strong US presence at one time seem to love it, not just Americans. Things like deck jackets, survival vests, and m-65 field jackets with the right patches can bring in a lot. Learn how to read contract numbers.
