I ended up closing my store and going back to a standard selling account after six months of losing money to ebay. I'm not sure what some of these stats are. I wasn't able to find any correlation between sales and relative prices. Everything I put on ebay has sold in the last week at the price I set the BiN to, and every time I put ten or more games at least one sells immediately but then the rest sit for months.
Yeah, I wouldn't know vintage clothing from modern remakes. That might be one aspect I would look at if I was shopping around, but here in town the choices are slim. One suggestion I heard recently is to troll department store sales on name brand stuff like Polo and whatnot. When the sale price is 70% of normal (which I'd have to verify online not by the tag) then I could buy it and flip it and probably make a bit of profit. Now that I know ebay/paypal fees are 22% I am very glad that I've been limiting my initial expenses to 1/4th value at most.
We have one military surplus place in town, and two Goodwills that won't let me lurk around in the pre-priced area. That sounds like an interesting area to research even if I don't find a "vein".![]()
