In fact I lost my little 20% which is hurting.
I ended up closing my store and going back to a standard selling account after six months of losing money to ebay. I'm not sure what some of these stats are. I wasn't able to find any correlation between sales and relative prices. Everything I put on ebay has sold in the last week at the price I set the BiN to, and every time I put ten or more games at least one sells immediately but then the rest sit for months.

Going through the sold listing though it happens all the time.

I have been experimenting with vintage clothing but its been tricky. People tell me to try ETSY but its resembles a clicky mix of Facebook and Ebay. Its seems to be run by insane artsy spitting cobra types. Also its lack of a shipping calculator is infuriating. I ship over seas often and that really makes their lives more difficult when they have to email for a price since there are more then five countries out there.
Yeah, I wouldn't know vintage clothing from modern remakes. That might be one aspect I would look at if I was shopping around, but here in town the choices are slim. One suggestion I heard recently is to troll department store sales on name brand stuff like Polo and whatnot. When the sale price is 70% of normal (which I'd have to verify online not by the tag) then I could buy it and flip it and probably make a bit of profit. Now that I know ebay/paypal fees are 22% I am very glad that I've been limiting my initial expenses to 1/4th value at most.

Things like deck jackets, survival vests, and m-65 field jackets with the right patches can bring in a lot. Learn how to read contract numbers.
We have one military surplus place in town, and two Goodwills that won't let me lurk around in the pre-priced area. That sounds like an interesting area to research even if I don't find a "vein".

Games really don't sell except during school breaks, but at least they are currently only five cents a month to keep online. At fifty cents per month I'd probably wait until November to list anything game related worth less than $20.
Yeah, that sounds about right for me, too. The only items I have up are extras from my own collection and the odd game purchased specifically to offset the cost of another game. I usually have between 30 and 60 listings up at a time and I ONLY list during ebay's free listing promotions. I'm sure that's a scam since the final value fees are anything but consistent, but it feels good seeing "FREE" instead of a listing price, even though you'll just pay extra once the item sells.

The catch with the free listings is that Ebay only does it when business is slow for them. I still take advantage of it though.
