Sound quality wise Thunder Force IV wins handily over that warbly nonsensical blurred Gradius 3 soundtrack. Also, in a real fight Technosoft would rip off one of Konami's arms and feed it to them. It really is that one sided.

    Look in the description:
"Among the ranks of gamers everywhere, there is a lot of discussion about which 16-bit system has the best shooters."

who the hell plays shooters on the SNES? the system is really not optimized for them.

SNES fans have a lot of nostalgia, an unhealthy amount, for what few SNES shooters were even remotely competent. Similarly to SNES beat-em ups, SNES shooters are considered "good" if a lot of people talked about them. Challenge is derived from brutal difficulty and collision detection rather than lots of enemies/projectiles/background elements. It's an odd world Nintendo fans live in, eh ABF?

Might as well make more boastful Genesis comments.

So I was playing Raiden Trad today. Holy sh!t. I never knew the Genesis could pump sprites like that.

Go to 5:10 in the video:

That boss is probably pumping out like 100 sprites a second.

It is a sort of odd chocolate. The Swiss sold Hershey the machines to make chocolate but wouldn't let me have the the recipe and chocolate was still a very new thing. He came up with his own recipe that used sightly soured milk and lots of sugar to keep it cheap. I don't think anyone else uses the milk trick. You can taste a slight sour taste to it.

Graham crackers also had an odd start....copied from wiki.....

"The graham cracker was originally conceived of as a health food as part of the Graham Diet, a regimen to suppress what he considered unhealthy carnal urges, the source of many maladies according to Graham. Reverend Graham would often lecture on "self-abuse" as masturbation was commonly called at the time. Graham would often say how these experiences were inspired by children eating crackers.[1] One of his many theories was that one could curb one's sexual appetite by eating bland foods. Another man who held this belief was John Harvey Kellogg, the inventor of the corn flakes cereal"

Despite the weirdness above Graham crackers are one of the few American foods out there that are really good.

Somehow the marshmallow plant became the marshmallow over the years.

    Smores are strange indeed.
If I'm not mistaken the soured milk thing came about because they had a heat wave during the summer and the milk soured. Hershey used it anyway and it was good so they just kept doing it. When I make chocolate gravy I'll use some butter milk in it along with regular milk. It makes a very rich chocolate. I'm sure Hershey's chocolate was really good at one time, but like most of our food it's become over processed and additive heavy over the years.

Hah, yeah, I remember one You Don't Know Jack game (YDKJ Mock 2 for the PS1) having a question about that, don't remember how it went.
