I think we have a huge disadvantage as 'mericans by not being exposed in any real way to other languages. Even one as fundamentally similar as German requires frequent exposure to avoid random goofy memory mistakes. We should all make a point of doing 20 minutes of math and science, and 20 minutes of foreign language study every day. Then we would not be do wetalldid.

I grew up in San Antonio and studied Spanish in Highschool. I must have some kind of mental block though, as I ended up switching to Japanese and got As instead of Cs.

Apocalypse - Means to reveal and is a literary genre, this is why the so called "book of Revelation (singular)" is called that. The genre Apocalypse is about future things and heavenly/otherworldly things happening at the same time that impact the past, present and future. It is an awesome genre.

That's cool! Lucky you. I don't think my high school offered Japanese. If they did I would've switched like you did. I was deprived as a child.

Oh well! I'd like to study Japanese in college though. If I still lived near Seattle, then the language would be marketable for jobs too.

It's understandable that Canada makes French a requirement, but I can see why you wouldn't use it as much in British Columbia. I certainly didn't need any French in Vancouver.
