Doctor Who sucks right now. It's practically unwatchable and I only give it my attention out of obligation. Since Moffat took over, every season revolves around one or more "story arcs" that never make any sense and/or are disappointing and predictable. Matt Smith's last episode was insultingly bad, and I wasn't even a big fan of his doctor. Moffat can't seem to go five minutes without fucking with his own mythology. He also is terrible at writing for and developing the characters he creates. I was really hoping the BBC would fire him after all the bad press the Christmas special got, but nope. With a new Doctor coming in, a new head writer could get the show back on track. They should at least hire an editor that he has to answer to.

Why does every new Dreamcast game have to be a shmup? I like shooters and all, but let's get something else for a change.

Well, there was Rush Rush Rally Racing back in 2009, and Wind & Water: Puzzle Battles or however it was called, but RRRR made it to WiiWare a few years later (only in Europe, though) and Wind & Water was a port, anyway.

If you make a homebrew game for Dreamcast, make sure you know the following rules:

-it has to be 2D
-X and Y are the only dimensions you need to know. Who cares about Z?
-forget that the Dreamcast is fully capable of 3D games
-the following terms will need to be deleted from your brain, before beginning Dreamcast development; "Z-buffering, perspective correction, vectors, polygons, texture mapping, gouraud shading"

I personally do not find that funny as one of my cousins committed suicide a few years ago and I miss him very much and there are times when I wish I could have gone back to somehow help him. While we didn't get along all the time I still shared plenty of good moments with him and his wife and kids who I still visit often.
