Old Man's last post made me laugh, and for good reason too. None of the churches I have carefully found and attended failed to engage my brain, much less the rest of my agency in at least some way. Sometimes this results in a lot of personal struggle, sometimes it works out for the best. I guess if all I wanted was a never ending well of knowledge my "church" should be academia and I should be a "professional student".

edit: @sheath, I thought it was funny that he was drowning in an anti-intellectual quagmire before he found reddit.

Yeah, reddit, I don't think I've ever read it. I doubt it is any more or less the intellectual haven than the Internet is at large, which is to say not very much. I'm feeling more and more that the Internet has become a free version of tabloids actually.

Yea, the internet has turned into a social networking cesspool. I miss the old days when people had, you know, web sites with information and stuff. Nowdays it's just pundits and talking heads spewing crap from their blogs and social media accounts. And cat's.

I thought about responding with another cat pic, but saw this first:

On the other hand, some of these kiddo's parents were obviously doing it wrong if they had no idea what even a mainstreamy NES was. Those "1080p Xbox One" and PS4 comments made me cringe, as did the comment about leaving the old technology behind and whatnot. Consumers.

I'm pretty sure most teens know what NES is. They're as far removed from NES as people in their early 30s are from Pong.

Pong? What's that, some kind of weird 70s code for a hairstyle? Uhuhuhuh.

Please, show me a 15-20 year old who isn't familiar with the NES "essentials".

Teens react to the PC Engine would be interesting.

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.
