Anyone remember the hoopla behind the Cabbage Patch Dolls back in the early 1980s? Even if you weren't around during that period of time, this recently released documentary gives a good snapshot as to how popular the dolls were. Parents lining up at stores around the country and fighting to get a cabbage patch doll for their child. I remember my sister being heartbroken after the local Zellers and K-Mart ran out of stock. As luck would have it, my parents managed to find one for in time for Christmas.
This video was a real eye-opener as it discusses the true creator of the doll, Kentucky artist named Martha Nelson Thomas and what transpired after she discovered that someone had stolen her idea and mass-marketed it. As usual Vice did a nice job putting this documentary together:

While it is real, the drinks themselves have not been in production for years.

Pirate Bay’s Fredrik Neij Can’t Play Nintendo Classics In Prison
Former Pirate Bay operator Fredrik Neij can't play games on his Nintendo 8-bit console in prison. The prison denied the request because there's no way to open the box to check it for concealed items, a decision the Pirate Bay operator is now appealing before the administrative court. To kill time The Pirate Bay’s former operator put in a request to play games on an old Nintendo 8-bit console. Not the most advanced gaming experience, but a real treat for someone with virtually no access to entertainment.
Unfortunately, however, Fredrik’s request was outright denied by the prison administration. While gaming isn’t against the rules, they state that there’s no way to open the box to check it for concealed items.
“The console is sealed in such a way that it can not be opened without the machine being destroyed,” the prison wrote in a reply.
