I often play GBA on the toilet... does that count?

Honestly, bro, the whole UHD 4K HDR high I was on is now ending its honeymoon phase. I'd say it's mainly with respect to movies and TV shows. I thought I'd give movies and TV shows I liked a try, and although my 4K TV makes even 50+ year old movies look like they were shot yesterday, you lose all manner of cinematography and intended lighting effects. It makes everything look like primetime news. I've ended up accepting that I don't need that much brightness in my movies, nor do I want it so.

But to answer your question, I have no idea how many versions of BluRay compilations they made for The Hobbit Trilogy. I stopped buying physical media for movies or TV shows a long time ago. But the reason I brought up 4K HDR is that this movie was shot in a fashion that, even in the movie theater, it looked like you were watching a 4K TV (and not in a good kind of way). It took until my third time watching it through that I started accepting the graphics and just enjoying the story.

But let me know what you end up getting.

I've never really understood when people talk about gaming (or reading etc.) on the toilet. As I have never sat on a toilet that was extremely comfortable, the toilet isn't a place where I sit and relax for any significant period of time. I do my business and gtfo.

^Yeah, seriously. Makes you never want to buy a handheld console used.

If you guys keep your toothbrushes in the bathroom, I would not be concerned about buying MrMatthews used GameBoy. (Personally keep mine in the kitchen)

Also, if you have a dog or cat, guess what... When you buy and eat meat... And I recall in Europe when a pig got cut, it's shit tract & other guts got cleaned out to make all kinds of very yummy sausages (one of them being blood sausages, man I miss those). Funny how we're all fine with these things, but oh no, not a used GameBoy. That's gross!

You inhale and ingest shit and dander all day long; there’s nothing you can do about it except live in a bubble.

I can't even take a magazine on the throne because as soon as I hit that cold plastic the job is done.

Like with a mains adapter and everything? I don't recommend that at all, please stop it.

The riskiest thing I've ever done with a console was to let a friend borrow it. Lets be honest, most of the stuff that people lend never gets returned, so I'm lucky to have got that one back.

No mains adapter, that would be (I'm raising an eyebrow here) shocking... I meant more risky for the console really.

What was that thread about Sega games in movies or TV?

'Currently watching Narcos Season 2, Ep 2, and Escobar is shown playing Streets of Rage with his kid.

Can anyone think of some decent speakers to recommend for a TV. Not an audiophile so they don’t have to be top of the line models just something that’s considerably better than the built in speakers on today’s TVs which seem pretty puny to me

I bought some Logitech PC speakers for my grandad's TV for this reason. They were reasonably priced, sound nice and look pretty good too. I forget the model etc, but they were a good all round purchase without breaking the bank.

No way, I just talked about hoping for a Dark Souls One remaster like a week or two ago. This is amazing news, day one purchase for sure. Finally, Dark Souls One with a more massive player base, why I'm so excited for it.

I've been saving for a Bose sound system.

    Specifically...
