One of my favourite lines of dialogue in film history is right at the end when Gaff refers to Deckard's replicant girlfriend by saying to him "It's too bad she won't live, but then again who does?" Now that is deep.

Yay, Blade Runner 1982 and cats are awesome. Blade Runner 2049 and dogs, however, not so much.

    Love dogs and cats.

I don’t see the appeal of either Bladerunner movie, although 2049 had more going for it than the original (Jared Leto aside)

My daughter was freaking out, my wife was crying uncontrollably (a rarity for her)... and I was depressingky certain that something or someone had gotten him and we were never going to see him again.

Then, Saturday morning, I check the back door and there he was, relaxing on one of our deck chairs like it was no big deal
    Forgot I mentioned it.

So happy u guys found him. I am hoping I get to see him again. He has been my companion for 10 years. I have been looking everyehere for him. I called the HOA and the neighborhood manager bc tomorrow they are going to put cat traps to remove the strays and mine doesnt have a collar. I am afraif since he is so cute and docile that someone may have taken him in. I am about to step out with my girlfriend to knock on every door as we speak.

I also called the cat trappers and shot them an email with pics. Trying to cover every angle. I am soooo worried right now it's not even funny.

I was talking about on Sega-16, tho. Everyone here goes googly eyes over it. The only time anything negative is said, is about the Disney sequels/prequels.

I think you're misunderstanding me...I wasn't saying I didn't like the Star Wars films. I actually like the first 3 movies. I found the 3 2000-era prequels to be okish. Not seen the DIsney produced films. I'm not hating on them! My point is the whole internet has such a collective boner over it, but all I see is decent films. I don't understand the mass appeal. That is all. Hence why I say they're overrated. I don't think my opinion is unique or above anyone elses'...it's just mine. What more can I say? The films just don't click with me as they do with the vast majority on the internet.

People place these films on such a pedestal, but I don't "get" why. What makes these films so special? I don't understand. That is my opinion in a nutshell. I'm not hating on what people like. You like it, power to you. Like what you like. I'm not questioning you or your opinion.

EDIT: Allow me to add - I won't see the new Star Wars movies, not because of the general hate because they're Disney produced, but solely because of Abrams - that guy ruined modern Star Trek for me. I know he wasn't involved with SW8, but it's still got his stench on it. I refuse to watch anything that he's been involved with. I feel that strongly about it.

Hope you find your cat, man. All three of my cats are house cats, so I can understand where you're coming from. Hope you're able to get him back.

Very imaginative world building across much media (movies, cartoons, comics, novels, toys, games, videogames) make it easy to get immersed and lost in.

I was thinking of finally playing Dark Souls on PS4 but Thief ruined the whole game for me.

I agree with Jackal. I like the original Star Wars films and enjoyed the prequels too, but I never understood the sheer dewy eyed adoration that the original films get. Even as a kid growing up in the late 80's/early 90's I didn't understand people's obsession with them. I just thought they were enjoyable, good fun films...and that's all they are. The Star Wars fan base is one of the most embarrassing and frighteningly insane collectives I've ever seen. I mean my absolute favourite film of all time is Alien (1979). I regard it as a masterpiece, a veritable work of art almost, ok? The difference is that I don't go to conventions dressed as a xenomorph, waving a plastic face hugger in the air and showing people pictures of H.R Giger's 'penis landscape' while shedding uncontrollable tears of joy. If I did start acting like that I would fully expect my family and friends to have me referred for psychological help, and possibly committed.

Make sure you have PSN+ for the true Dark Souls experience.

Take it you never watched The Muppet Babies... that was my surreal introduction to Star Wars. Followed by Droids the cartoon.

That is super stressful. We hung up posters all over the neighborhood and I drove up and down the major street by our house looking for him on the side of the road. We got the following advice from the animal shelter and you probably got the same: sprinkle his dirty cat litter around your yard. Also, the contents of your vacuum and even dirty socks and stuff; anything that will act like an odor beacon in case he’s lost.

I’m sure he’s fine, though, cats are natural survivors. They’re also natural assholes, so he’s probably all full of himself right now as he pretends to be a tiger, oblivious of the worry he’s causing.

Man, this is no good. I have done just about everything a person can do on a Sunday. My cat still has not come back. I am even on a personal text basis with three city employees who I have no idea why they would answer me back in the first place as an emergency call and my cat still has not come back.

I am beginning to worry for the worst. Even all my neighbors and security guard are on the lookout.

Thanks Jackster, Cleeg and MrMattox for your kind sentiments. I am literally dying inside.

Sorry to hear about this, QS.

I think this is the most likely explanation.

To give you some hope, my mom gave away a cat to a house thats 10 KM away from our house, and it came back to us on its own.

Its not just Thief, that series is cocaine for the game industry right now. You aren't a gamer in the 2010s if you haven't tried a Souls game. They are the GTA games of the early 2000s.
