This is going to sound so dumb but I lost my understanding with specs ever since about 2009. Not really kept up so not in the know anymore. Not sure I will describe this well for my question. So like PS4 and Xbox and Switch have a GPU that does so many GB per second. People make it sound like the ram adds on top of that. So if that is the case. What does 16GB of DDR4 2400mhz do to a 1060 card with 6GB? It says 192GB per second. Does the ram increase this or am I mixed up with the Xbox One base model having 32MB edram?

I think you're referring to GPU teraflops and there's a bit of difference of computing power between integrated and discrete graphics card in addition to that it has onboard VRAM.

Edit:
Integrated graphics is apart of an CPU and shares the system's RAM.
Discrete or sometimes called dedicated graphics is able to do the workload on it's own to leave the CPU to do what it does.

No it dose not add but if the discrete GPU needs some system RAM it can use it.

Edit: But system RAM is generally slower.
