USPS sucks
The USPS delivered my first computer to me by leaving it on the sidewalk in front of my apartment building.
I ordered Quake from either Egghead or Amazon or something, shortly after. It was delivered to the post office, where it was knocked off of a shelf and laid on the floor for months.
I was selling a Genesis and Gunstar Heroes on ebay to pay for school lab fees when I was in college, getting my electronic engineering degree. I overestimated the size of the box in all three dimensions, and overestimated its weight, to get some wiggle room in the shipping costs. The USPS website quoted me about $15, and then when the auction closed and I was going to ship it out, they wanted $50, telling me that the website postage calculator had no bearing on what they actually charged for shipping.
Another time, I had won an auction for a crapton of Nintendo Power magazines and NP strategy guides (Final Fantasy, Mario 3, Ninja Gaiden 2). The day it was to be delivered, there was a torrential downpour. Well, no biggie, I have a proper porch they could put it on. I got home to find that the package had not been placed on the porch, or near the side door that stays partially dry, but directly under the goddamn downspout on the corner of the house, with water running all over it. The seller, in his peerless wisdom, expected such dipshittery, and not only encased the magazines in bubble wrap, but also plastic wrap and packing tape, as well as sealing the outer box itself in packing tape. When I got it into the house, the corners of the box were slightly damp, but the books were fine.
The United States Package Smashers may be a gaggle of fuckups, but that doesn't mean that OOPS and FeDicks aren't incompetent as well.
Yeah they're bad at what they do. USPS Finally Delivers Mail To Bedridden Queens Man In Need Of Medication
Edit: Related to Raijin Z's post. Yeah word of the wise never walk a package with postage bought through ebay into a United States Post Office to hand it to them. They will most certainly ask for more postage even if you factor in a little extra weight.
Edit2: To add Raijin Z The Pitney Bowes postage bought through ebay is e-commerce pricing but when you're standing at the post office counter you are a standard consumer thus can be asked for higher pricing.

^ Awesome.
Nothing beats the classic Windows look.
Work work work... That's all I ever seem to do these days. They even want me to work at Christmas! Bollocks to that! Anyway I hope you guys are doing great and are looking forward to the holidays? At work the other day I was thinking about how fucking awesome it would be if the Shining Force series was made into an epic trilogy of films, like Lord of the Rings. Man, I'd kill to see that.
Are the Castlevania amiibos out there? I snatched up Ridley earlier this week.
Aww yeah baby, it's the season again. and Ol' Saint Cat is coming to your house to take yo presents.
