I remember a Vet once mentioning that the hardest thing they have to do is put a pet to sleep. The thing that makes it worse is most owners don't realize how terrifying it is for the pet in the case that owners don't want to be in the room when they're having to do it. The vet says usually the last thing a pet tries to do before it passes is looking to their owner for comfort in their last moments.

That just really broke me.

It's a hard truth tho. A lot of people have a hard time dealing with death. They sometimes forget animals have feelings also. I was there for my old black cat years ago when she passed. She was almost physically 18 years old. That cat had been back and forth overseas with me twice so yeah, I was there for her until the end.

I was there when my partner's life support machine was switched off, and I held his hand as he died. Yeah... I wouldn't wish that on anybody. Death is a fact of life, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with.

I called them cunts because they keep losing my stuff and when they do deliver..it's almost always damaged. Then their customer support is infuriating. They don't give a shit and it's 100% useless. I just had it that day.

We lost one of our guinea pigs last night. He'd been sick for a while and there were far too many trips to the vet for (and let's be brutally honest here) a $30 rodent from PetSmart. But he was a far better pet than I would have ever expected and had a great little personality. He'll be missed.
