I was going to make a thread about this, but I'm not sure it's worthy of that, so I'll ask you guys here: does Kickstarters in general put you off?
I mean, I've seen a load of games I liked the looks of, and I want to buy, and I know they couldn't get made if they ain't crowdsourced, but I've seen so many of them go wrong or are just straight up scams, that no matter how interested I have no choice but to say no to. I know I've missed out on quite a few games by doing that, and I know it's a risk/gamble in itself, but I just don't trust it. Too many cases like Paprium. I'll happily put down the money for the game if it goes up on sale once it's complete though, like I've done in the past with Tanglewood and Gunlord on the Dreamcast.
I have done four kickstarters. All for board games - I only have received two of them (the other two are in the pipeline). With board games if they catch on the stretch goals can rack up quickly and you wind up with a lot of nifty extras.
This one was very successful:

The follow up also did very well:

Sorry I never updated. Turns out it was a fight between 2 gangs. One of the gang members was shot and is in critical condition. One woman was a bystander and shot in the leg. She was released from the hospital. So while this was scary, thankfully no one is dead yet and was not some crazy person wanting to kill everyone. The suspects have since been arrested. When I originally posted the news had just broke so there wasn't a ton of info.
I got into trouble with the law for making my own Doom Super Shotgun as a young adult... after all I didn't make it just to look at but guess one needs a gunsmithing license for that kind of stuff. Ha-ha
Edit: I picked up Fight'N Rage on GOG this week and must say it's not a bad game at all.

Shameless plug for my friends upcoming game as a new trailer released. It's been in development so long but it's finally coming to an end. When it started it was meant for Sony phones and PSVita using the PlayStation Mobile Engine and holy hell that engine was bad and Sony's treatment towards them was horrid. That eventually fell through and Nintendo approached them plus switched to Unity been much nicer devlopment I assume just because he stopped raging over PSM. They left R* to pursue indie development. It's a beat em up with a twist and that twist is a more RPG like the combat system. If you ever played Fallout then the Vats system then you know what to expect.
Suda's staff has been reduced to 20 people so it's clear it's not a big budget game. In fact, only because Nintendo published it in the west is why we got a retail copy. This is a spinoff and not an NMH main game. The levels are each different but they do have some issues. They can go on a bit long at times but at least each level has a unique gimmick to keep it interesting. It still has a very SUDA presentation. Combat is very simple compared to main NMH games. The visual novel side of it is really cool to me but again can drag on a bit. I love finding the fake old gaming magazine articles and love having my friends game represented as a T-shirt in the game. Combat could use some more depth and levels could be shorter. I still like the intro movies to each level being very Suda. I want to show support in order for them to have a budget to make NMH3 tho. It's not a cash grab. It's a game that experiments with ideas and doesn't always succeed in execution.
In other news. Metroid Prime 4 being scrapped by Nintendo to be rebuilt from the ground up.
