I really miss when gaming was this exciting, I mean they got the actual actors to come on the show dressed up and all.
you really had to be there to understand why this was so exciting, these guys were REAL yet in your game. sure they could dress up a guy as Ryu but it was still just some nobody.
these were the actual guys, MK really went downhill when they embraced 3D.. imagine if they actually remade MKII with the MK9 engine and todays graphics.
scan in the original actors and de-age them, and just.. recreate the original stages as close as possible but in a way where fighters and backgrounds still feel like they're part of the same game.

I'd fucking buy the downloadable game, the collectors edition with Cage nutpunching Baraka statue.
And the GOTY edition with shit like MK1 costumes and Jax's yellow costume and original Kintaro idea model and eh.. playable smoke/jade/noob and maybe add that kickboxer girl that they drew for MKII but never used.

Well said, mate. I actually remember watching that episode of Gamesmaster when the special guest contestants were Pesina and Malecki actually dressed up in their MK1 outfits. It was just so fucking amazing to see two actual characters from one of my favourite beat-'em-ups on TV appearing as real people. I was as excited as if I'd just seen Axel and Adam from Streets of Rage as real people. The early to mid 90's truly were a golden age for us video game obsessed kids.

Terrific match! Liverpool needed to overcome a 3-0 deficit from the first leg to try and reach the Champions League Final. And they did in some style. The atmosphere at Anfield must have been amazing.

Terrific match! Liverpool needed to overcome a 3-0 deficit from the first leg to try and reach the Champions League Final. And they did in some style. The atmosphere at Anfield must have been amazing.

Incredible stuff from Liverpool. I hope they go on to win both the Premier League and the Champions League now. They fully deserve both after the incredible season they've had.

Only the "football" obsessed will defend a game in which people get millions of dollars for a 60 minute game with numerous television timeouts, a break any time they are tired, a few seconds of play followed by 40 seconds of rest, creature comforts like no other, etc.., Football in America is pathetic. I wouldn't watch a game if you paid me.
