Going to see a double bill of Terminator 1 and 2 in the cinema this Thursday - not to "catch up" for the new one (honestly couldn't give a toss tbh for it), it's just a good excuse for re-watching the films.
That’s an awesome double feature, man. I’d love to see those movies in a theater (Aliens, Predator, & Robocop, too)
I am legit jealous, also.. fuck the new movie and its strong female cast of unstoppable latina/granny/blonde.. boy.. thing?
edit : oh shit, that was post 9,999
The original Terminator is one of the greatest sci-fi films of all time and T2 is one of the greatest sequels ever made, and also perfectly wrapped the story up. That really should have been the Terminator franchise over and done with. Finish on a perfect high. The 'sequels' and 'prequels' that followed I pretend don't even exist.
Love Terminator.
Speaking of Terminator, I just started playing through Snatcher on the Sega CD. What a game!!!
^Omg the long-lost prototype, with Hideo's original handwriting! Truly priceless.
I can only dream of owning such a handsome copy, Thierry. God knows how much that must have cost you...
I've actually bought 2 copies over the years. Both from the same store for 6 or 7 dollars. We're talking about 10ish years ago, but even back then Snatcher was a $100 game. It was a play n trade about 45 minutes from my old house, and a lot of their stuff was outrageously priced, but Sega CD games were all priced at 6.99 regardless of the game. I found 2 Snatchers there about a year apart. I actually sold one of them (along with Popful Mail and Shining Force CD) here on the forum back in 2011 or so. It helped fund a family vacation at the time.
Edit: found the sale thread:

And I've still got the one I found a year later and ended up keeping. Of course this one is sans manual sadly. Anyway, awesome game. As a huge Blade Runner fan, it's one of my all time favorite video games.

The Saturn version actually sucks.
I treated myself to Probotector for the Mega Drive instead (released as Contra Hard Corps in the US). It was still expensive but a damn sight cheaper than Snatcher, and I've been really wanting to add Probotector to my Mega Drive collection for years so it's a win win for me.![]()
If you want to play it, just burn a copy. It would probably be easier on the Sega CD drive anyway to read a CD-R than trying to read a 25-year-old pressed CD with a myriad of scratches.
