It's weird but since my nephew came to visit and I've been showing him an assortment of different Mega Drive games from my collection, I've been absolutely blitzing them! I don't know if it's to do with having an audience or something but I've just been showing skills that I haven't shown since I was a kid his age. I did a perfect run in Spider-Man and Mercs and flew through Sonic 3 & Knuckles grabbing each chaos and super emerald like they were going out of fashion. I wasn't trying to show off or anything I was just casually playing through some games. I told him he needs to visit more often because of the effect he has on my game playing abilities. His comment was "Since you were a kid you must have played these games a LOT!" lol touche

I could tell you a similar story.

I remember my brother's old GF brought over a SNES with Super Mario All-Stars, and she was absolutely amazed at how good I was at Mario 3. But thats just what happens when you play a game for 16 years.

But sadly he had to dump her because she committed treason, and I had to encourage him to dump her.

Yakuza 7 shown off today and we get a new protagonist. A new city. A new battle system. The kicker is the new battle system is..........a turn-based RPG. No, it's not an optional mode. Yes, this is mainline Yakuza. It has turned into a turn-based RPG. I don't know how to process this. I love both of these separately just not sure about them together. IMO this should have been attempted with a spinoff. I get they want to try something different but not sure this is it. I'd be all for it if it was an optional mode. I need to see more before I write anything off. It may end up as a welcome change. Can't fully process it now.

Watched both Terminator 1 & 2 yesterday at the cinema and it was fantastic!

Two small nitpicks with T1: first,they made mini cuts to certain scenes, shaving seconds/frames off them - like they do on a TV airing to save time. I noticed it at first when Arnie kills the punk by punching him through his stomach, it looked "choppy", then later during the police massacre, Lance Henriksen's death is cut short - in this version, Arnie shoots him with the Uzi then it cut to the next scene; in the original, he's shot by the uzi and then the shotgun. There were other cuts as well, but these were the ones that stood out. Second nitpick is they used the "Remastered" sound effects and not the original audio, which is a shame, but something I expected. Still enjoyed it though!

T2 was brilliant to watch - def the best way to view it.

EDIT: Seen the new trailer for T6 and read the leaked plot details. Yikes, even less interested in it. Sorry, slapping James Cameron's name on the credits and having an aged Linda Hamilton don't mean shite to me. Garbage will still be garbage. Just let the series die ffs, stop trying to milk it with these crap sequels.

I switched to a Gillette Fusion about a year ago after shaving with a double edge safety razor for approximately 50 years.
I quit using a safety razor since I could no longer get consistently useable razor blades. Gillette sent me a free razor with a blade and I found that I liked it almost as well as a safety razor and in some ways liked it better. The blades were pricey though - and buying an 8 pack of them only saved a bit of money. I had been thinking of switching to Harry's to save some money - that marvelous ad campaign pushed me to trying Harrys. I just got a razor and one blade from them and as soon as the last Gillette blade (which is in the razor now) is done I will try the Harrys.

I don't have a big dog in either the whole transgender thing or the metoo stuff. But I really don't want to be lectured by a company that I spend money with for a product - they seem to assume that I am automatically violating some sjw crap and need to guide me. Sorry - I just want to buy a product that suits my needs - it is not the duty of any commercial endeavor to do anything else.

It was actually satisfying to be able to express my views by ceasing to buy a product (not really a boycott since I don't think they could ever attract me again). Usually these companies are ones that I never use to begin with - hard to quit buying Starbucks (I don't even drink coffee) when I don't go there in the first place. Or drop a subscription to the Denver Post for their miserable news coverage when I don't have a subscription to begin with.

Heh- since I am quoting myself I know the source is impeccable!

Anyway thought I would give an update on the Harry's experience (as it were). Every bit as good of a shave as the Gillette fusion. Blades seem to last as long (if not a tad longer). The blades are certainly cheaper - just got a batch of 8 of them in the mail for $16 (shipping included). Lots cheaper than the Gillette fusions.
