I don't understand the Goldblum hate either.

No, there are too many other beloved actors that do the same thing (*cough Denzel*) to blame it on that.

He may constantly play the stammering, constantly-searching-for-the-right-words scientist type in every movie, but I think he's a pretty engaging actor. I would argue that he was better than Will Smith in Independence Day.

I've come to accept that Will Smith plays the same version of himself in every action move he's made since "Bad Boys". Ah-nuld played pretty interchangeable good guys in his "good guy" movies, and its pretty hard to hate them.

I also like Goldblum doing the "stammering, constantly....ah...searching-for-the-right-words"-itis his characters tend to suffer from.
