Sometimes i'll get a canadian quarter, and if I don't like the person i'll act like I'll refuse to except it until they hand me another quarter. What are they gonna do, complain that I wont take another countrys money?

Well, it technically isn't usable. But Canadian quarters are the same size as US quarters are work just as well.

But it is kinda cool to get weird money you have never seen before.

Wasn't the 1970's the lowest point in Hanna-Barbara animation?

Did they just decide to (cheaply) animate *ANY* concept that someone came up with?

"Dude, how about a 20 ft Great White shark that walks on his tail, can breathe in and out of water, and talks just like Curly from the Three Stooges?"

"Great idea, but put him in a band and we'll whip up some episodes in a few days!"

Pretty much. They knew that whatever they put out there wouldn't matter so they just put anything out there.

Still, Touche Turtle was the shit. He fucking challenged a lightning bolt to a duel and WON.

In that later (shittier) Pebble and Bam-Bam show, why did Bam-Bam only have normal strength? Shouldn't his strength grow as he gets older and larger? Why isn't he lifting houses and shit by the time he is a teen?

Speaking of Hanna-Barbara animation, anyone remember The Impossibles?

How, exactly, did Fluid Man's power work? How the hell can you turn yourself into a liquid but still retain some sembalance of shape?

I think it's like The Sandman, he can make part of his body fluid, but then have solid bone when he needs too.

Or it's bullshit by the animators, either works.

I dub that part of the "Jabberjaw* Theory".

Meaning...it makes no goddamn sense and I don't think anyone thought about it longer than to whip up some concept.

*Jabberjaw is that talking, walking shark. Nuk Nuk Nuk.

    The Hair Bear Bunch

A bunch of bears with 'fros.

HB animation was pretty poor even into the 1980's, but then there was a lot of animation was done "on the cheap" back then.

The only show that I have recently seen again that actually had some decent animation (done in Japan I believe) was Inspector Gadget.

    Do da do-do-do...Inspector Gadget.

    Do da do-do-do...hoo hoo!

The Real Ghostbusters was done by the same studio as Inspector Gadget, I believe. And even if not, it's still one of the best-animated shows of the 80's.

Real Ghostbusters had some creepy episodes, first few seasons were filled with really creepy and macabre stuff.

I'd be interested in seeing if that show is as creepy as I remember it being.
