Well, thanks guys. Anyway, the last thing I wanted to do was to throw myself a pity party. I sincerely believe I'm better off and I don't feel sorry for myself, but no matter how you slice it, divorce is kind of a bummer.

Anyway, let's move on to happier topics now. Has anyone tried the new Southwestern Pattymelt from Carl's Jr? I had one a few hours ago and I'm pretty sure I'm going to regret it as soon as it works its way through my system. The last time I ate one I was almost in tears on the toilet, but . . . damn, they're tasty.

That's right, Carls Jr (or "Hardee's to some of you, I guess).

They're no Taco Bell, for sure, but they've got some tasty burgers and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I haven't eaten at a Hardees in a long time because they aren't around here, but Arby's sometimes tempts me to pay $5 per roast beef sandwich just for their vinegary BBQ sauce.

$5 for a sandwich sounds tempting-enough as it is.

I can't eat at Arby's. They're way too expensive for what you get.

I really don't like Subway, though. They tend to drench the bread with the preserving water from the meat and vegetables. I hate that.

Subway is the only place in my area where you can get Submarine Sandwiches. I always have the meatball sub, I've never tried anything else.

Never been to Hardee's. I assume it's the same place since it has the same happy star logo.

Subway seems to be going the way of the dinosaur over here; so many have closed I've lost track. We've got a burger chain down here called "Wimpy's", used to be real big at one time (early 70s - mid '90s), they make a good burger.
