Alien 3 director's cut is the one you have to watch. I even liked AVP. AVP2 is terrible though.

    ^ Agreed.

Regarding the AVP films, even though both were...meh compared to the other films, I quite liked both of them. I brought 'em cheap, so they don't bother me that much.

AVP I didnt like the characters or the story but I did like the fight scenes. AVP2 I didnt like the characters or story and the fight scenes were too dark to see anything.

Alien 3 had excellent atmosphere and some excellent acting by everyone involved. Alien Resurrection was gross, campy, and generally unpleasant. AvP was mindless teenager schlock, and AvP was wrong on too many levels to count (kids and unborn children being devoured? No thanks).

Alien Resurrection is.. just.. awful. I've never watched Alien 3. I tried to watch it late(ish) one night when it was on tv, but fell asleep within 10 minutes of the start. That was about 8 years ago, and for various reasons (mainly indifference, and.. actually, that's all) I have not bothered to try to watch it again since.

I can probably get the next hundred or so fairly easily and inexpensively, as the sports titles can usually be picked up for a dollar or two. Beyond that, it's going to come down to diligence and good ol' fashioned luck. I'm hoping to get it wrapped up by the end of the year.
520?? *monocle falls out and flies across the room*

Yeah, sports titles is another thing - even when they're cheap I'm always a bit "meh, should I really bother spending my money on this? :/" Even though a lot of 8-bit sports games don't seem so bad, somehow - usually I think it's that they're dinky (and therefore entertaining) enough for me to gain some level of enjoyment out of them. Except the ones I properly enjoy, which are not so many.

Anywho... Good luck in your quest, sir!

I agree, damn movie felt like it was made by MTV.

Personally I just pretend they only made Alien & Aliens, and then sometimes.. when I'm all alone, I pretend Alien 3 was actually the original script where Hicks & Bishop survived and were the stars of the movie.
    It went something like this.

    1. omg look a spaceship
    2. omg look people inside
    3. omg lets take them to the space station
    4. omg lets defrost them
    5. omg lets fix bishop (and change his brain a bit)
    6. omg Alien onboard or something, guess they experimented with it and now they are all over the station! (yes they used that in Alien 4)
    7. Yay Hicks saves the day while Ripley & Newt get shot out into space in a capsule while the station is on fire!
    8. Yay I forgot the rest of the story
    9. Yay it would have been better then Alien 3 & 4 & both avp's!

I saw the preview for "Snow White and the Huntsman" today. It looks pretty cool. I haven't been to see a big screen movie in forever. I may check it out if it's playing this weekend.
