I can see it fine, and... dare I say it, I think my Genesis 1 came with one?! Or it was mentioned in the manual.

Either way I haven't used RF for Genesis in a very long time.

Has anyone else ever seen one of these with a Sega logo on it? Where did you get yours?

Of course everything I have hooked up now is connected with component or S-video cables. All my RF converters have long since been relagated to a storage box. The fact that I needed this item at one time tells you how long I've been into Genesis gaming! Or at least that I used to have a really old fashioned TV at one time....

Those came with the Genesis 1's. I remember that well. We all remember that rf was usually the only way to go back then. It also came with the other piece that converted it the antenna signal to coaux so it could be plugged into the the rf box. Im sure if anyone has Genny 1 instructions it tells how to do it.

Hahaha. The 'BIKE HANDLE' must play the Hang-On theme on a tweety little piezo speaker. It has to.

I love the radar-dish TELECON PACK, too, it looks ridiculous.

nope it doesnt Ive been too scared to use it as it feels very fragile.

The radar is very ridiculous, it's to use instead of ariel cables to make your room more tidy.. so instead of a little thin black cable that nobody would notice you have somthing that looks like it should be on Red October sitting on your TV set

That came out in America. I wish I had one, but you know it probably cost a hell of a lot more than regular power strip.

They released that when the 32X came out since combined with the Sega CD, the setup requires so many damn AC Adapters that are hard to plug into normal powerstrips.

I have one of those powerstrips and still use it. At the time it was about $5 more than a regular powerstrip but hell, it says SEGA and holds all those bricks for a 32X, Sega CD and Genesis with a few spares left over for other stuff.

Having one would be cool, but I've had to settle for those "plug extender" things that free up real estate on regular power strips.

That matching transformer came with the SMS too. I think it also may have come with a Sega-branded "F-Type Converter" which basically was the same kind of thing but backwards. They looked like this but with SEGA stamped on the side.

If I recall correctly, my Genesis instructions list the transformer and F-type converter as "sold separately" but I don't honestly recall where I got the transformer. My Genesis is a model 1 but it is a late model 1, maybe it was packed in with that machine or my brother's machine which he got a year earlier than mine. I used a couple of those F-type connectors over the years but I don't think I ever had one with a Sega brand name on it. I'll have to dig them out of my A/V odds and ends box and look them over again.

I need one of those Transformers!! I Think they are 75ohm to 300ohm adapters or something?? I found a free TV in the garbage it's an older RCA XL-100 and the picture is still great infact the whole TV works nice and is in good shape I'm thinking it would be great for playing the old 8/16-bit games on. But it doesn't have any "coaxial" RF screw on thing on the back just the two screws ya know.... finding one of those now a days.... lol.

I gots one of those transformer thingies!! I also gots the kind that transforms it the other way, like from antenna to cable. I mainly use 'em for those old Atari switch boxes that have antenna only input and output for some stupid reason.

If you don't care about the Sega brand on it and just want something to work, I think I have a Radio Shack one around that I bought a few years ago for some experimenting that I don't need. I'd be happy to mail it to you for free.
