I love Ristar because it features some really great music, creative levels and amazing graphics for the Genesis.

If they had expanded the game just a little and marketed it, it could've taken on DKC easily.

Two games: Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle. These were among my favorites as a kid.

Ghouls 'n Ghosts is good, it gets dogged because its hard. I bought the PSP version and traded it back in because it was too hard for me.

    Does Micro Machines count?

So what constitutes as an "unsung platformer" anyhow? Anything that isn't Sonic?

I keep getting knocked off this forum and have to re-log in. It's annoying.

    Dynamite Headdy (awesome actually )
    Decap Attack
    McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure

I don't really think DeCapattack and McDonald's Treasureland Adventure are undersung, Mcdonald's treasureland adventure sure isn't. DeCapattack maybe, but I'm not too keen on that game myself. What I do think is unsung though is:
