^I didn't know that got a Pal release. You are talking about a Pal release, right?

I've been playing Sins of a Solar Empire on the PC. The game requirements are a 2.2 Ghz Core2Duo, but it was a bit too much for my old (3 Ghz Quad Core) Q9650 rig. I've been playing it on my i7-4790K rig, because there was too much slowdown on the older setup.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
Original big box cd version, and it works just fine on win 7, which is always nice. Playing a solo fighter/thief. Currently at Dragon's Eye at the level below the cult.
Imported the Japanese version of DBZ Infinite World on PS2 because it's going cheaper over there than here, and played a little of it today via emulation, as I can't play imports on my real PS2. Yet (my console is modded, but I need to do research on how to actually get imports to run).
Anyway, game is like a stripped down Budokai 3, with awful minigames thrown in, some new broken and overpowered characters, and the difficulty of the game is insanely hard (supposedly, and I'm not fucking around here, they messed up the difficulty levels: Hard is Normal and the default setting, and by setting the game to "Very Hard", you're really enabling the Very Easy setting. How they cocked that one up, I have no idea, but they did.)
I'm not liking the game much tbh.
Plannin on playing Superman by Sunsoft. One reason only, I am well aware that the game is tough as nails, but I still believe that it is possible to beat the game without the usage of a game geneie. I was able to make it to mid stage 3 but died cause well... enemies were just spamming everywhere. Making my superman not so super. But you gotta admit that the music and graphics in this game is really good! I just wished that Sunsoft could have added an option menu and not just a direct 'Start Game'. :<
'Just platinumed Final Fantasy XV on the PS4. It was a much more enjoyable experience gameplay-wise after beating the game. It has a lot less of the hipster, testosterone-deficient antihero feel. You're simply roaming around the world of FFXV with a lot less obnoxious commentary (it's still there, though).
After 100 percent(ing?) this game, I'd say it was a lot more fun gameplay-wise now than I deemed it after beating the main story. I would have rated it a 10/10 were it not for the main characters. Even the story is fantastic. But those main characters.
Playing around with the Genesis version of Toughman Contest after scoring it weeks ago. It helps having the special move key in the manual! I'm no 16-bit boxing game expert or anything, but it seems pretty good fun in small doses. Button mashing seems ineffective, which is usually good, but the rival fighters don't seem to give you much to go by in terms of telegraphing their attacks.
I did send one guy over the ropes which was cool. Sound FX are great too, no music in-fight but the crowd is sampled as is all other FX and they're all crystal clear.
Planet Coaster has consumed the majority of my free time.
Looking into Technoclash. After checking out some vids, it seemed like my sort of thing so I picked it up. Seems pretty good so far! The spell matrix is cool and the MODE button gets used for healing which is awesome.
Man! What a halt. I am so not enjoying The Last Guardian the way I hoped I would. 'Feels like I'm playing a PS2 game. No sense of direction ('constantly looking-up walkthroughs). Camera is clunky as hell. And they had to feel the need to put "jump" on the triangle button.
Well, personally I enjoyed the game.
Loved Trico and enjoyed the story. I had a bit of an issue with the camera, especially when the camera goes into Trico and then the screen goes black. Not a deal breaker for me, but yeah, that camera is far from ideal.
The controls felt somewhat dated to me, but I'm glad they didn't implement a grab meter like in Shadow, where you had to hold one of the shoulder buttons to hold on.
Also, I played it on my standard launch PS4 and didn't seem to have that many frame drops to where the game just crawls along. There were 3 or 4 occasions where I noticed the slow frames, but nothing game breaking or to the point of frustration. No game freezes or crashes either.
Overall had a good experience. Will play this again on the PS4 Pro.
Did u use walkthroughs?
I guess I was expecting more of modern-style gameplay; where you get a direction on a compass and you don't have to spend 15 to 30 minutes figuring out where to go next (sometimes hours). 'Something closer to the Uncharted series or the new Tomb Raiders. Right now it just feels like a chore to play; unless I use walkthroughs (like with most PS2 games). I will try to enjoy it more. I definitely want to know what happens.
