I just traded away my NES, 1 Zapper with a half-broken tip, and a controller for:

Blue Game Gear, two game gear cases, and a Model II Genesis AC Adapter

Atari 2600 Jr. with AC adapter and cords.

    Yellow Game Boy Color

    Metroid II with game case

    Silver Game Boy Advanced SP

    Star Fox Command complete

    A Dreamcast Box

    Populous cart only

    Super Gameboy cart only

Some Game Boy and Game Gear manuals, about 15 in all, and a Sonic and Knuckles manual.

    Thanks again Kurasake!

I went to a Goodwill near my house the other day and found a stack of Sega-CD games for $2.99 each.

    Vay
    Who Shot Johnny Rock?
    Rise of the Dragon
    Ecco, The Tides of Time
    Fifa International Soccer
    Lethal Enforcers 2, Gun Fighters
    Star Wars Chess
Mad Dog 2, The Lost Gold
Eternal Champions, Challenge From The Darkside
    Tomcat Alley

Now I just need to find a Sega-CD to play them on.

What's so big about Rise of the Dragon? That game is found cheap.

Vay and Eternal Champions were really good deals though. I myself just found Eternal Champions not too long ago for $3 at goodwill.

I really, really have to start going to thrift stores, even if it means the dreaded waking up early before work!

Thrift stores and swap meets are awesome, especially the latter which are the only places you can really haggle. The dude who runs the "gaming" tables at the swap meet I got to is usually just looking to make a sale, so if he quotes you $25 and you say you only have $15, more often than not he just lets it go for that. You don't always find the best stuff but you can get quite a bit for cheap, and that makes finding something rare even more awesome.

Oh man, speaking of swap meets, I scored at mine today. I got a keyboard for the Dreamcast (in the box, and it looks like it's never been touched, still in bubble wrap, etc.) along with a complete copy of Typing of the Dead for $10. I'm pretty happy with that, and I'm excited to finally try it out. I've been wanting to play it for a while, but I was hesitant to drop the $30+ it usually goes for on eBay.

I also got cart only copies of Bonanza Brothers and Eternal Champions for $7. Not as good, but whatever. I figured I should mess around with the cart version of EC before I got the Sega CD release, that way I can really appreciate all of the additions and enhancements.

Typing of the Dead goes for $30?

I bought mine like last year for $8 from a guy NEW and he had at least 20 copies for sale...

Prices do fluctuate, but the only copies I've seen on eBay recently have been more than 30 dollars. Like this one. Or this one. So I think 10 bucks for the game plus the keyboard is a pretty good deal, even if 8 bucks is a better one.

Vay was the only one I thought was really notable, but I guess after looking around ROTD is supposed to be a pretty good game. I normally never see Sega-CD stuff around, that's why I decided to grab all of them even though I don't own the system.

Mine was just game... I already had a keyboard.

Ok, well I was saying that I got the keyboard (new) and the game (complete) for 10 bucks total. Which I thought was a pretty good deal, and I was excited about that so I thought I'd share! That's all.
